Looking for exactly what to do in Barcelona for 2 days? Look no further! Day 1: Visit the beach Want to catch some rays without leaving the city? Take a little trip to La Barceloneta, the most popular and lively beach in the city of Barcelona. It’s extremely easy to get to and there’s plenty of seaside drink spots and restaurants to tuck into. There’s also a variety of water sports on offer. Whether you go during the day or in the evening, you’re bound to find this beach bustling with activity. Day: 1: Explore La Boquería market One of the most locally loved landmarks in the city, the vibrant and busy La Boqueria market is based in the heart of the famous Las Ramblas. Spend some time exploring this enormous food market and indulging in some of the many tasty treats on offer. Day 2: Take in the stunning architecture by Gaudi Locals in Barcelona are extremely proud of their city’s architecture and for good reason! Take some time to simply walk around the city streets and admire Gaudi’s countless pieces of architecture. Some of the must-sees include Casa Vicens and La Pedrera, which was one of his primary homes. Day 2: Sagrada Familia Ready for the most spectacular piece of all? Gaudi also designed the famous Sagrada Familia. This iconic site in Barcelona is a must-visit for those of you spending 2 days in the city. Since its construction in 1882, this beautiful church has been a feast for the eyes for tourists and locals alike. There is also a fascinating museum to explore inside!
My wife and I recently spent some time with Ellie strolling around the Sagrada Família. It was a wonderful tour. Ellie was professional and clearly very knowledgeable about the Basílica and its architect, Antoni Gaudí. Along the way, we also leaned much about Catalan culture and Barcelona itself. Ellie provided insight on what to expect and look for once inside the Basílica. From our external tour, she clearly broke down all the comprehensive (and staggering) symbolism that makes up the exterior of the church. Ellie is an excellent communicator and it was a pleasure to spend time with her. We learned a lot not only about the site but also what to watch for while in Barcelona. Highly recommended.
Thank you Teo for the great tour of the Gothic Quarter! What a great mix of history, culture, recommendations and local knowledge that you shared with us! It was time well spent!
Ellie was an excellent guide in Barcelona. She picked us up from our cruise ship and showed us all the highlights. We got out in several locations and took photos.
Having known about the Familia Sagrada all my life and then finally being there, we certainly were most fortunate in having Ellie for our family tour guide. Her deep and wide knowledge of the diverse aspects of the phases, timing, progress, purpose, meaning and numerous symbols of the exterior and interior architecture of the building made our visit intensely satisfying and rewarding.
