Things To Do in Barcelona at the Weekend

If you’re wondering what to do in Barcelona on a weekend, this list has you covered. Saturday: Mercat de la Boqueria Spain’s largest fresh market! Wander around Mercat de la Boqueria and join locals as they hunt for the freshest fruits, vegetables, meat, and fish. The market opens at 8 am on a Saturday. It is best to go there early when there’s less of a crowd and enjoy local vendors setting up their stall for the day. Saturday: Discover Gaudi’s Masterpieces The genius of Gaudi! If you’re a fan of Antoni Gaudi, the best way to spend your weekend in Barcelona is to explore his amazing masterpieces. Check out the impressive Sagrada Familia and the remarkable Casa Batllo. Head outside the city center and visit the Park Guell, which is one of Gaudi’s most significant works. Saturday: Camp Nou Messi’s playground! If you’re a football fan, make sure you visit Camp Nou when visiting Barcelona at the weekend. The Camp Nou has been lit up by legendary footballers including Ronaldinho, Xavi, Iniesta, and Messi over the years. Tickets are usually selling fast so make sure you buy them in advance. Sunday: Las Ramblas The most popular place in Barcelona! Las Ramblas is possibly the busiest area in Barcelona on a weekend. If you want to experience the city’s bustling scene, hanging out in Las Ramblas is one of the best things to do in Barcelona at the weekend. Great guide experience with Lars

Lars is a great child and adult friendly guide who is warmly welcoming you and finding a perfect mixture of information and stories about the city & tradition and friendship customizing his tour completely to your needs. He was even sending us tipps about many things like markets, ongoing events, public transports and recommendable restaurants for locals before and after our tour. Lars is the best guide we could wish for, just like a good friend we got to know. Thanks for the stunning experience 🤩

Amazing Maria!!

Maria was friendly, really engaging and interesting. She gave us a huge insight into Barcelona and it's history and showed us things we would definitely not have discovered without her! Definitely recommend booking with her and we will book again when we return.

Wonderful experience

Phillipe did a great job engaging the kids. He was professional and funny. We all learned a lot of culture and history. It was fun for the kids using the dragons they found as landmarks when we were out and about the rest of the week. Churros he picked out were superb and even let us stop for coffee at a place he recommended.

Fantastic time

We had a great tour with Octavio- he was knowledgeable, what he talked about was interesting, and our kids (14, 13 &12) were interested in what he had to say. Would definitely book another tour with Octavio!
