I had such a fun day exploring Negombo with Deegoda in his tuktuk. Despite it being the end of my trip, where I had already tried a lot of things he managed to find some new foods for me. He is very engaging, a super guide, chatty and very informative. Seeing the back alleys of the more rural areas was fascinating and a very enjoyable end to my time in Sri Lanka.
Anoj was very easy to communicate with before we arrived in Sri Lanka, not just with details of the trip we booked with him but he answered some other questions for us about Sri Lanka. Anoj was prompt each day picking us up. The driver he worked with was excellent and we felt very safe on the busy roads. Our trip each day was adapted to our needs and Anoj was always flexible with the plans. Anoj knows the south very well and he can plan activities using people he has used before so they are better than you can plan yourself. Would really rate taking a trip with Anoj.
Buddhima is incredible. We throughly enjoyed our time with her. She is so knowledgeable and clearly has a passion for her work and her country. We were a family with young children and allergy concerns. Buddhima flawlessly navigated children and allergies, which allowed for a wonderful experience. She communicated ahead of time to make sure we were satisfied with the plans.
We had a great day with Buddhima. She picked us up from our hotel on time and took us to an extraordinarily busy market, and with her expertise and local knowledge, we bought fresh ingredients for our cooking class (plus a few souvenirs to take home too). We were welcomed to Buddhism’s home by her mother and neighbour with open arms and commenced our day of cooking. We prepared a great variety of dishes with plenty of laughs along the way. Finally, tucked into our homemade feast and enjoyed our conversation with Buddhima about the Sri Lankan culture. We had a great day and would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Sri Lanka. (We even stopped off on the way back to the hotel for a fresh King Coconut, Yum).
