The floating markets of Bangkok are foodie heaven! Away from the hustle and bustle of the city is a tranquil escape into the local Thai culture. Floating to these food stalls along the riverbanks is an outstanding way to taste delectable local treats. With your amazing Bangkok local by your side, you will have an adventure of a lifetime in a floating market tour! The Amphawa floating market is one of the most peaceful around Bangkok! Located in a serene village along the river, this relaxing floating market offers a diverse array of local products. The not too distant Tha Ka floating market is another fabulous traditional scene to gather the best local produce. Floating downstream on a captivating floating market tour from Bangkok is the best way to shop for local goodies. If you are searching for an authentic Thai experience, look no further than a Bangkok floating market tour. With your welcoming local, it will be a fantastic voyage!
We wanted to see the "more authentic" floating market experience and glad we booked the Thaka, Amphawa & Railroad market with Piyaporn. My sister and myself have been to Thailand before but have never been to the floating market and wanted a more 'local' perspective than just a chaperone between spots. Piyaporn talked about how the floating markets have changed with tourism and the times. We got to see the very touristy side of the Railroad market but also the more local side of Thaka market. The canal boat tour was a highlight. Piyaporn also catered to our interests in more local food (indulging in all the dried and salted seafood along the railroad market) and a delicious pad krapaow at Amphawa market. Note: The floating market experience might not be the same as the major tourist spot of Damnoen Saduak so set your expectations accordingly. This one felt a lot more relaxed, but you might not see as many vendors in boats and more along the sides of the canals (which I believe is more the reality of the floating markets these days). Overall, great experience and would do it again especially with Piyaporn.
Me and my two grown daughters had a lovely and exciting day out of Bangkok with Nok. We visited the train market, the floating market and then she even gave us to and extra experience by taking us to the mangrove forest and seeing the swimming monkeys. Nok is very sweet to talk too and we experienced so much in just one day. We only had two days in Bangkok so I’m really happy I booked the trip with a private guide to get the most out of it. I give my best recommendations 😁
Our guide, Pam was so fun and patient with our group of five. We ventured around Bangkok via tuk tuk visiting the major sites along the way. We loved hanging out with her and throughly enjoyed the tour.
Our guide was Meaw and she was wonderful. Engaging, knowledgeable and great fun. Always ready to answer questions and detail the history behind the temples and palaces. We were looking for a day trip around the main sites in Bangkok and this was exactly what we were looking for. Highly recommended
