Best 5 things to do in Bangkok in October

  • Enjoy the Thrills of a Boxing Match

Many spectator sports are able to get the adrenalin flowing, but few can get the heart pumping quite like a Thai boxing match. If you are looking for some excitement and an experience you will never forget, taking in a boxing match makes for one of the best things to do in Bangkok in October.

The venues can be very hectic so you will be happy to have your host with you as your guide. As well as the excitement of the match itself, you are in for an overall experience that will stay with you for a long time.

  • Stay comfy and dry as you tour the City

If you wish to see the city but don’t wish to get wet, then why not have your host act as your guide in Bangkok for the day and drive you around the city to see the best spots. In a city as fascinating as Thailand’s capital, getting a chauffeur driven tour can be one of the best things to do in Bangkok in October.

Your host’s knowledge of the city can be a great advantage as you get to see the best that there is to see. As a private tour you will also not need to worry about other tourists and can tour the city to see what you want and in your own time.

  • Be Entertained at a Cabaret Show

All singing, all dancing shows will often leave the audience captivated, making them among the best things to do in Bangkok in October. It is mostly Bangkok’s lady-boys that take part in the shows and they really know how to put on an unforgettable performance for their audience.

Your host will be able to advise on which shows are the best to watch and also help with arrangements such as buying tickets. You might also wish to continue your night out once the show has finished, and your host will know where to take you for a great evening out.

  • Take the Opportunity to Learn some new Recipes

There’s a fairly good chance it will rain at this time of year which might leave you considering things to do in Bangkok in October if the heavens do open up. There’s still plenty to do under a roof though so you can keep warm and dry, including cooking classes, so you can learn to make delicious Thai meals yourself.

Your host can pass on their know-how and experience to help you to create beautiful Thai dishes that you can be proud of. You can even have a go yourself with your host standing by to help out if you get stuck.

  • Get up close to Nature at Siam Ocean World

Life beneath the surface of the water can often be spectacular to look at, making Siam Ocean World one of the best things to do in Bangkok in October. You can get to see many of the creatures that live their lives in water without having to get at all wet yourself.

Your host can be your guide for the day as you visit the attraction and can maybe let you know about some of the weird and wonderful sea creatures that call Thailand their home. There are also a lot of other things to do in the area, and your host will know just where to go.

Incredible introduction to Bangkok

We highly recommend Artty, we had an amazing time, he was very knowledgeable and interesting, we learnt so much about history and local customs. Artty had great stories, he was engaging and funny. We visited a range of places and Artty was very helpful when my husband lost his wallet, luckily it was found. He gave excellent recommendations including a great local restaurant after our tour. Thank you so much.

A Day with Piyaporn is

We did two tours with Piya and learned so much from her. We visited a few temples in Bangkok on the first day, and were lucky enough to get to see and hear the monks chanting at Wat Suthat. Then we spent the day at Ayutthaya, and had a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. We had the absolute best time, Piya's friendly, knowledgeable, and so well-organized. We covered so much more than we ever could have on our own, from tucked-away local spots to must-see landmarks, all with thoughtful explanations and fun stories along the way. Piya handled every detail—from transportation to timing—with such ease that we could just relax and enjoy the experience. This was a highlight of our trip, and we’ll be talking about it for years. Don’t hesitate—book Piya and enjoy a day you won’t forget!

Authentic Bangkok Tour with Tony

Our day with Tony was the perfect mix of culture, local sights, and personal connection. We began by walking through Bangkok’s local streets, getting a feel for daily life and hidden gems most visitors miss. We then visited a quiet local temple, where Tony shared insights into Thai traditions and Buddhist practices in a way that was both informative and interesting. Afterwards, we hopped in a tuk tuk and made our way to the colorful flower markets—a feast for the senses. We crossed the river by ferry to Wat Arun, where Tony brought the temple’s history and construction to life. It was a magical moment, especially as we explored the ceramics on the outside of the temple. Finally, we caught the ferry back across the Chao Phraya, taking in the city one last time before saying goodbye to Tony. Tony’s knowledge, warmth, and love for Bangkok made the day feel personal and unforgettable. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to experience the real Bangkok.
