I had the absolute pleasure of spending a full day in Ayutthaya with Tuangtip, and the entire experience was exceptional from start to finish. It felt more like spending the day with a knowledgeable friend than being on a tour. Tuangtip crafted a beautifully personalised itinerary, including a private river boat tour that gave a completely different perspective of the ancient city. Cruising along the water, passing temples and local life, was a serene and unforgettable experience. Exploring the ruins on foot felt like stepping back in time. Tuangtip’s storytelling brought Ayutthaya’s rich history to life in a way that no guidebook ever could. One of the standout moments was watching Roti Sai Mai being made—such a unique experience—and eating it fresh afterwards made it all the more special. We also stopped at a local restaurant for lunch, far from the usual tourist spots. The food was delicious, and it was great to be somewhere that felt authentic and relaxed. It was a truly personal, insightful, and memorable day. I’d recommend Tuangtip to anyone looking to discover Thailand in a deeper, more meaningful way.
I was hesitating taking the trip to the floating and the train market considering it too crowded and too touristy. But with our local guide Nat everything went very smooth and the experience was very pleasant and interesting. He knew what was the best spot to watch the train, to buy souvenirs, to have lunch, to park the car. Nat speaks very vey good English as he lived abroad for over 20 years.
From start to finish the day trip with Artty was fun and effortless! He scheduled a pickup time based on our hotel location, knowing what challenges traffic might pose, so that we could time our arrival to the cemetery, museum, and train. He provided so much information about sites we passed during the drive as well as additional information to what was included in the museum. His tour was so much better than riding the train as we got to see and explore the tracks and surrounding sites, which included older train cars and a meditation cave. The lunch spot he picked out was phenomenal as well - gorgeous views of the river and we even saw some elephants go down to enjoy the water! When there were some sites we had questions about during the drive, he even made a detour to show us an additional stop on the train line and an old temple-turned-animal-sanctuary. Would recommend this trip to anyone looking to see outside of Bangkok and learn about a very interesting part of the area’s history for a day!
We went on a 6 hour outing with Nat to the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market and the Maeklong Railway Market. Not only is he an excellent tour guide, he is such an interesting person to talk with. We both felt as if we had made a new friend by the end of the tour. He knew where to go for good seats to see the train and got us to the market before it was insanely busy. And then took us to a fantastic place for lunch. Hotel pick up and drop off in a comfortable air conditioned car. What a great day with some great memories!
