We had an absolutely wonderful evening with our guide, Araya. From the very beginning, she was incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming, making us feel right at home in bustling Bangkok. Araya took us to authentic local eateries we would never have found on our own, giving us a true taste of Thai cuisine far away from the typical tourist spots.
But the evening was about much more than just delicious food. Araya shared fascinating insights about Bangkok’s culture, traditions, and everyday life, all told with great enthusiasm and a fantastic sense of humor. Her stories and energy made every moment enjoyable and memorable.

Uthaiwan is the best!
She was full of knowledge, kind, flexible, thoughtful, and funny. She is great at her job and loves people and engaging them. She is passionate about food and her culture and is proud to share what she knows. She was eager to answer all of our questions and gave us great tips and insight into the rest of our two week thailand trip. She even gave us Thai fans and some local fruit and snacks for our upcoming road trip through Thailand.

Excellent and insightful conversation
Araya was phenomenal, so easy to talk to and excited to share about her faith, city, and thoughts. Excellent way for travelers to talk to a local about how regular folks experience religion in Thailand.

Local food with a friend!
We loved our tour with Ae. She took us around to all of the off the beaten path places where the locals eat (which is exactly what we asked for). We got to try a lot of different foods that we would never have tried on our own, and she gave us some great background on the history of Chiang Mai in the process.
We loved trying so.many things (it was really fun to go through the market and have her show us how to pick out and eat some different fruits than we get at home...)
We had a great evening, and would definitely recommend a tour with Ae to give you a thorough orientation of the Chiang Mai Street food scene. A definite highlight!
