Kuni took us to the best local food locations where we were able to experience and enjoy a variety of Japanese foods. In addition while walking between venues he showed us the best shops for various products. I recommend this tour.Great experience in Japanese food culture

I am afraid to say that this tour was a very disappointing experience. When we met Kuni informed us that he had not run a food tour before and didn't appear to have planned a route. He asked what food we wanted to taste and where we wanted to go and then seemed to make up a route on the spot. I didn't feel as though we learnt anything new about the local food or area.
On a couple of occasions Kuni was rude to staff in the restaurants (it showed on their faces).
However, my biggest issue was that Kuni was suffering from a bad cold. He continually snorted and used his hands to wipe his nose - and then went to touch food we were sharing. I found this really disgusting and it negatively impacted on what was already a very average, and expensive tour.
Sorry I don't have anything more positive to say. This was the only bad experience we had in 3 weeks in Japan.Osaka Food Tour

A food tour with Kuni was a perfect way to kick off our time in Osaka. He was friendly, informed and fun. We loved the food, the restaurants / food stalls and the photos he took for us along the way. I would highly recommend this activity with Kuni!Delicious!

We enjoyed our food tour with Kuniyoshi. The food selections were good. We did a lot of walking back and forth across Dotonbori. We would walk from one side of Dotonbori for a stop, then to the other side for a stop, then back to the other side again. It would have been nice if the food spots had been organized so we had more food stops closer together before going to the other side of Dotonbori and back. We were fine walking it just seemed like a lot of back and forth and not as much eating as we had expected. One thing we really appreciated Kuniyoshi did was he altered the agenda a little. My husband said he would really like to try beef (Japanese BBQ) and Kuniyoshi was able to make that happen. We really appreciated it. He taught us about the different types of beef and how to cook it…it was a great experience.
Overall, we enjoyed our time with Kuniyoshi.We had a good food tour of Osaka

Unfortunately our experience did not include 10 tastings and we had no drinks other than water. We did 5 tastings and our children got an ice cream and we were not even asked if we wanted one. The “city sights” was only “times square”. We were disappointed that the experience did not match the description and it not represent value for money. In contrast the food tour we did the following day in Kyoto was excellent and reinforced our disappointment of our Osaka Food tour experience. We formally seek a refund of 50% in line with what we received versus what was advertised. Experience did not match description

We had a wonderful walking tour with Kuni! He was very informative and catered to our kids (10yrs-6yrs). We tried some delicious Osaka traditions and were very impressed by the variety and tastes. It was a fabulous walking tour and Kuni was a wonderful host. I would recommend his tour!Osaka Food delights!

The disappointment of this tour started with poor communication beforehand. We changed the number of people in our party due to a medical emergency. He did not acknowledge this request. Then he gave us the wrong address to meet at and didn’t respond to my texts for clarification. He insisted on getting our Airbnb address without explaining why (we already gave the area of town). Then took us to his own restaurant for the first hour of a 3 hour tour. Proceeded to take numerous pictures of our children without asking. Was rude to his own staff. Took a number of personal phone calls. Then left us standing on the street for 10 minutes while he went into another of his businesses. We left halfway through which I’ve literally never done. I frequently do food tours when I travel and this was my worst travel tour experience ever. Sketchy host

We booked our food tour practically at the last minute, and it was UNBELIEVABLE! An abundance of tastes and stories, great photos that Kuniyoshi took of us and a fantastic experience. Highly recommended!Amazing culinary and cultural experience

Kuni met us at our hotel and our first stop was his restuarant for an excellent beef tasting. He had us try some local street food after and gave us a tour of dontonburi along the way to getting tempura and sake. He answered my questions along the way and my wife and I had a great time. We really felt like we hit the jackpot with Kuni. Not only does he have his own restaurant in Osaka, but he knew all the places to go based on our personal wants/needs. We’ve noticed as Americans traveling in Japan, it is hard to know exactly where to go, how to get in, and how to make reservations. Kuni walked us in everywhere with ease. He also taught us some local lingo and gave us some history of the area. We hit the jackpot!
