I rarely provide reviews and only do so when a product or service is exemplary and exceeds expectations. With this in mind, I convey the following as it relates to our recent experience with Adriana in working with her fashion and personal/private shopping services. As this will be a very comprehensive review, and assuming your time (like mine) is precious – simply stop, move forward, with confidence, in working with Adriana for any services you are considering. You simply will not be disappointed. As background, I am a busy executive residing in the United States with a wife, family and all that entails. Historically, we have resided in more tropical climates and recently relocated to the Southwest. With a 50-year milestone birthday on the horizon for my wife, I wanted to do something special. My planning for such commenced in late summer for her October “birth-month” celebration. The rough itinerary sketches of such included days in Switzerland, Lake Como (long on my wife’s list), Alba truffle hunting(on both of our lists) and capping it off with a day of personal shopping in Milan! With the preceding serving as a backdrop, here is where the review begins. My wife loves and has many of the major well-known fashion brands while also many niche,up-and-coming or lesser known designers. As we were packing for our relocation, I had the foresight to take note, and pictures, of several of her favorite pieces figuring this would come in handy for the private shopping portion of the itinerary. With an initial search of “personal/private shoppers in Milan” about 2 months prior to our planned Milan dates and culling out obvious “boilerplate or template tours or packages” I researched and contacted no less than a dozen personal/private shoppers in Milan that appeared to offer a fully custom or curated experience. Adriana made the initial list which was quickly reduced to a handful. With these 5, information was sent to each regarding the specific type of experience desired: a full-day, custom personal shopping experience with some known big-house designers with a concentrated focus on new, upcoming Italian designers and their suggested itinerary for the day. Four of the five replied with enough detail for me to further consider. From theresome back-and-forth clarification took place at which point Adriana rose to the top, standing out as an obvious choice. It was at this point, Adrian’s services were confirmed and the real work, and fun, began! While Adriana had previously conveyed that she was occupied with some existing projects or clients and would provide me a more detailed itinerary, I was amazed at how thoroughly and rather quickly she provided it. She went beyond just “checking the boxes” on what I had conveyed; rather, she provided suggested Italian designers for consideration along with her rationale including varying itinerary options and priorities based on your identified tastes and availability. Moreover, she had already pre-confirmed several styles and sizes that would be available for my wife! As our collaboration furthered, the itinerary was even more refined. Adriana was able to literally “open doors” to fully private showings with preferred, well-known big brand designers offering a concierge-like, champagne-filled experience. The same when it came to the selected up-and-coming fashion designers. In summary, we had a full-day planned (10am to 8pm) consisting of pre-selected designers and items or pieces with a high probability of appeal to my wife. With a week prior to our arrival into Switzerland, I began to panic! The weather in our arrival city, Zurich, was forecast to be cold and rainy. I alerted Adriana – that with us coming from tropical climates and given our relocation, we were simply not prepared, clothing-wise, for such conditions! She reassured me and offered several solutions ranging from arriving into Zurich before our arrival and preselecting items that we may need, to recommending several stores for us to consider visiting on our own along with suggested pieces. Her own words, “I like to find solutions for my clients' concerns and, when possible, be very flexible”, resonated and would prove itself again and again. Upon our arrival in Zurich, we stretched our legs while exploring the city. It became clear that my wife, who at this point still had no idea of what awaited her in Milan 2 weeks later, was wanting some “retail therapy”. I did my best to dissuade her while taking note of various pieces from designers that I had somehow neglected to include in my earlier collaboration with Adriana. Over the course of a few days, I compiled this information and sent it over to Adriana asking for her thoughts along with if, or how, this could be included in our planned full day in Milan. Solutions were found is a simple understatement. Solutions were expanded! What could have been a simple flagship store visit in Milan turned into a special invitation with a fully private, casa experience at a very well-known Italian “quiet luxury” designer for a preview of their Spring/Summer 2025 collection. This in turn led to another Italian brand, not originally on the list, known for their comparable exquisite style (as it turned out this brand has now become my wife, and my, new favorite brand!). The original single day itinerary needed reshuffling. And, not wanting to feel rushed and to ensure a more relaxed experience, I posed the question about expanding to a 2-day itinerary. Once again, Adriana was not only able to accommodate but further refine both days while curating even further. Throughout this process, Adriana demonstrated professional calmness and a “can do” attitude, while diplomatically calling upon her Milan resources. Of course, I reminded myself, of Adriana's earlier remark: “I like to find solutions for my clients' concerns and, when possible, be very flexible” At the end of day 2, and only after procuring a new suitcase for my wife’s shopping treats, Ibid farewell to Adriana. She not only created a very special, memorable experience for my wife (secretly, I enjoyed it too), she also gently encouraged her into trying some new styles. As my wife and I strolled back to our hotel on our last day in Milan, she remarked to me how incredible this experience was and just how designers and stores she was able to see in the two days –something that would have taken us at least 3 or more days to do, with some experiences simply unlikely given Adriana’s knowledge and resources in Milan. While I have to believe most companies or individuals would have stopped at this point, Adriana did not. With residual items still to be delivered either to the hotel or to our address back in the United States, Adriana actively followed through with each boutique while keeping us informed. When inevitably an incorrect size was shipped or my wife decided that she really should have purchased that dress when back in Milan, Adriana stepped in and handled it with her quiet competence and usual professionalism. “I like to find solutions for my clients' concerns and, when possible, be very flexible” – si-si…Adrian, indeed you do. Adriana has become my style guide some years ago and even if we don’t live in the same country, she always manages to provide me with new ideas. In terms of shopping, it’s always great to go and shop with her, in Milan when I have the chance or in Buenos Aires, every time she visits as I don’t have much time available to dedicate to shopping and buying with her means NO wasting time. She would make a selection of items and sizes beforehand, and they are always perfect. We started with armochromia, which was eye-opening—I learned that just because I love a colour doesn’t always mean it suits me! Adriana manifested the most special experiences for me in Milan to help celebrate my 50th birthday by creating the most amazing itinerary of boutique and high end luxury appointments through out Milan!
