Alex's professionalism, experience and chill vibes made navigating the steamiest day easy and our tour superinteresting and enjoyable! We really appreciated his knowledge and style, liked his choices for what to highlight and the binder of pictures he uses to help further bring things to life. It was easy to find the meet-up spot but we could have used more info about buying tickets although it all worked out. We are really happy we took Alex's tour! Gods Would Be Prooud: Great Tour!

We had a very pleasant experience, with an informative introduction to Greek and Athenian history as well as Greek mythology. Alex was a good guide, showing us a variety of Athenian neighborhoods, even during an extremely hot day. We recommend this tour.Pleasant tour in Athens

Absolutely the best tour we had over the entire two-week trip. Alex is a fantastic tour guide who obviously loves what he does. At our request, he seamlessly combined the mythological, historical, and modern stories about the Acropolis into an amazing day for us. We would book him again in a heartbeat!Best tour of the trip!

We wanted a private tour for four people the day after our daughter’s wedding on what ended up being the hottest day in Athens so far this year. HOT 🥵 Alexandros took care of everything and took great care of us. We went into the air conditioned museum and learned about fascinating parts of Greek history and the museum would have meant so much less without Alexandros. Then onto the climb to the Acropolis. We stopped in shady spots along the way for him to explain what we were seeing. There is so much more there than we realized. Alexandros made it all very interesting and he has a great personality. Alex was amazing! From planning through the end of our tour, he was easy to work with, thoughtful, and entertaining. Alex was more than agreeable to my request to create a custom 6 hour tour of the Acropolis, Museum, and Agora with a lunch break built in. He walked me through purchasing the necessary timed tickets. Finally, he was an absolute pleasure to have as a guide. He is beyond knowledgeable on the history of the area and he makes the information digestible and entertaining. This tour was worth every bit of the 100+ euros per person we paid for 6 of us plus the tip that was well-earned. Alex was my 7th tour through With Locals and I’ve never been disappointed! Alex gave us a fantastic tour of the Acropolis museum & site. We were with our 3 teenage children & we really enjoyed it. We started in the museum which I would recommend as it’s laid out to mirror the actual site & he spent lots of time with us there explaining the different buildings and interesting artefacts & telling us some v entertaining myths associated. He is obviously extremely knowledgeable but with a very light & entertaining style which made the tour v relaxed. He then brought us through the site itself and nicely reminded us & brought together whet we had learnt & seen in the museum which really brought the ruins to life. He was extremely patients and gave us lots of time & we even had time to stop for coffees and ice creams and a lovely chat about Athenian life between the museum & the site. Alex was highly knowledgable, friendly and easy going. We enjoyed a 3 hour walking tour around Athens looking at the ancient sites of Athens and some different areas around Athens that we wouldn’t have been confident seeing on our own. He gave good restaurant recommendations along the way which we later went to and was delicious.
