Ali picked me at my hotel and off we went! Visited the Mosque, went to the old Muskat where we walked to get a feel in the souk and along the corniche. I went into the Muttrah Fort and had a great view of old Muskat! Then we continued towards the palace. Aligave me great explanations about the omani history and especially the muskat specificities. Stopped to visit the national museum: Omanis have an incredible sense of beauty (Missoni, Gucci, Gianfranco Ferre, Dolce...all designed beautiful pieces of jewelry that fusion the omani and italian art). This beauty and history you can see in that museum is breathtaking! Ali made it a great day with all his insights! Great half day in Muskat!

We have really enjoyed these two days with Hilal. He is an amazing guide, so knowledgeable and happy to answer all our questions. He is so proud of his heritage and so keen for us to learn about it, too. He showed us everything and went out of his way to make our time in Muscat very special. Nothing was too much trouble.
