Hello and welcome to my profile 😊

I was born in Istanbul and I’ve spent most of my life here in this beautiful city. I’m a licensed tour guide, a professional industrial designer, a culinary arts graduate and a self-taught musician with a love for 60s rock and alternative music. These days, I’m especially obsessed with home cooking and discovering Istanbul’s thriving food, art & live music scene.

As an urban explorer at heart, I enjoy uncovering the hidden corners and lesser-known stories of my city. I host a variety of tours on this platform such as my street art tour in Kadıköy, a bicycle tour around Büyükada (the largest of the Princes’ Islands) and several food tours across different neighborhoods. If you’re joining one of my food tasting walks, I can happily adapt the tour to suit your food preferences and dietary needs.

Alp, was a great guide. We arrived in Istanbul and met with Alp after dropping our bags at the hotel. Alp, showed us the city area, shared the history all around us, suggested places to eat, enjoy and visit. We would suggest that anyone spend time with Alp he is great! Alp, you were amazing!

Alp was charming and informative. We had so many question's and he answered all of them confidently. We were fed well and comfortably. His choice of locations were thoughtfully decided by best ingredient’s and illustrating Turkish culture. We had a vegan traveling with US and he was very observant of her needs and the selections were still delicious for the non vegans! Thank you Alp! We feel lucky to have you as our culinary guide. Alp is an amazing guide. He knows Istanbul very well and brought us of the beaten track with the street art tour in Kadekoy. The Asian side is very different then the European side so it was more then worth the visit. Alp knows also Some good food and drink spots so don’t hesitate to ask to him. Great day out with the best guide!

We really enjoyed our food tour with Alp! It was lovely to try some new foods and learn about them from Alp. We also enjoyed seeing the local graffiti art and learning about the political messages behind it. Alp knew so much about both local food and graffiti art, and had a lovely calm manner. My kids adored him! Would highly recommend! Delicious food and brilliant host

Alper is a superb guide. Professional, knowledgeable and kind. His guided tour of the Kadikoy neighborhood with large art murals (plus stops for tea and coffee) was excellent. I would highly recommend him as a guide and this tour when visiting Istanbul. Off the beaten path mural art tour
