Alphe is good fun and knows a lot! We had a lovely afternoon wandering in Lisbon and trying a few local eateries that we'd not have been brave enough to venture into ourselves! The highlight was a lovely little place run by three brothers, so homely and welcoming! A wonderful wander with fab food!

Alphe is amazing! He is a gracious host and made us feel so welcome. He encouraged us to ask questions and gave us so much context, history, and insight with regards to the culture and people of Portugal as we walked and discussed important architecture. Alphe built a tour specific to our interests and incorporated tastings throughout the city. He took us to restaurants we'd never have known about and also shared with us which areas in which we shouldn't waste our money - we are so appreciative. He has lived so many different places, both in and outside of Lisbon, and we left him feeling like we gained a new friend. He never made us feel rushed. After our tour, as promised, he sent us loads of recommendations for the remainder of our stay. If you are looking for a tour guide who is engaging, down to earth, and extremely knowledgable - you should book your tour with Alphe. Highly Recommend

What an incredible experience! First, Alphé is extremely knowledgable about Lisbon. And after asking a few questions about our interests (history, food, art) he put together a customized tour. From the Moors and Romans to the earthquake, tiles, Salazar and the carnation revolution, cod, cork and Jackie O - Alphé shared his love of Portugal with us. This is one of the best tours we have taken. Alphé is 10/10! Lisbon with Alphé - the Best!

Our 3 hour walking tour of Lisboa with Alphé was the perfect way to get our bearings upon arriving in a city we've never visited. Alphé gave us a well thought-out tour of the city, complete with lots of history and pro tips for places to visit, eat and drink! He even offered to send us links to places we had talked about, which we referred back to often during the rest of our visit. We started our tour at a well-known Miradouro so we could get the layout of the city, and ended it at a great local Taberna for a quick bite. Alphé is smart, funny and knowledgeable and we enjoyed our day with him immensely. Five stars!Spend some time with Alphé!

We had the pleasure of meeting Alphe when we signed up for the “ Culinary Kickstart Tour: Lisbon” with six tastes. We thought this would be a casual stroll, stopping at a few places for a taste in different places while having a little chat. Instead, it kicked off with a pithy lesson on the history of Lisbon at a couple stops (sans food) on the way to our first “taste.” Alphe was very knowledgeable and filled with facts! We finally sat down to our first taste about 45-60 min into the tour, and had all 6 tastes at the same restaurant. I think it was because we scheduled our tour for 7p on a Sat - we learned many stop-by places for authentic tastes tend to close by then on weekends. So, we had a mini-meal at the end at an authentic place for all our tastes and had the most fun getting to know Alphe better (after all that history!). He was a very gracious and endearing host! Alphe was an amazing host for our very large group. His demeanour and eloquence were among the best of any tour guide any of us had experienced before. Whilst our focus was on the food of Lisbon, Alphe built an intertwined narrative around the food, connecting it to the history, geology and anthropology of the city over the last few hundred years. The food component was exactly what we wanted, with an array of great local joints serving traditional food from the city. Alphe was also incredibly professional in dealing with very late provided dietary requirements. I would immediately recommend Alphe for any visitors coming to explore the city and the cuisines on offer. An eloquent, fascinating and tasty tour

Alphé was wonderful and funny and was generous with all sorts of historical and less known facts. He also gave us cues on other cities we were going to visit like Coimbra and Porto. I highly recommend booking a walking tour, especially if you're visiting Lisbon for the first time. It was the perfect way to get familiar with the city's rich history and culture, and it truly set the tone for the rest of our stay. Our guide, Alphé, was absolutely exceptional. His deep knowledge of Lisbon's history, combined with his personal insights as a local, made the tour both informative and enjoyable. He even tailored the experience to our interests, ensuring we got the most out of it. He even sent us a list of restaurant recommendations, all walking distance from where we were staying. Thanks to Alphé, we avoided the typical tourist traps and found some amazing, authentic spots to dine in.
