I flew to Chile to ski for a few days and decided my last day would be spent getting acquainted with Santiago. By pure chance and great luck I happened to see Amalia in Withlocals and chose her to give me 8 hours of Santiago. I couldn’t have been happier with our time together, her knowledge of the city’s history and her friendliness and consideration in making my time special in her city. Amalia was one of the best tour guides we have used at WithLocals. She knew about the history of Santiago, took us to some overlooked sites that are important to Chile's history (e.g. Morande 80, plaques on the ground at Plaza de Armas), and answered any questions we had. She also gave us great recommendations for lunch. She conversed perfectly in English.Amazing time with Amalia!

Amalia is an excellent and engaging guide considering carefully the weather and the fact that I had just come off intercontinental flight to plan a Santiago tour over 1 1/2 days. She was friendly helpful, knowledgeable and an engaging partner as we toured the city. She responded to how I was feeling on the tour and that level of responsiveness was excellent. Her suggestions for lunch and shopping were very good and I had a delightful time in Santiago with Amalia.Extra day tour

Excellent walking tour and she was and is a lovely host who deeply cares about Santiago and knows history and culture and our understanding about the city was greatly enhanced by our visit with her.
