I was born and raised in Budapest and every corner of the city reminds me of something awesome. With a degree in international relations, I left Hungary for almost ten years and travelled around the world working for the UN and other development agencies.

I started guiding travellers in Budapest because I enjoyed showing my foreign friends around. This way I feel more connected to some of the historical sites and can enjoy explaining the complexity of the city and the Hungarians to everyone interested. My passion is politics and there is a lot to talk about from a historical perspective.

Andras could not have been better. Amazing food, beautiful city and a great insight into Hungarian culture. Andras has a very interesting back story and is good company. Kids had a ball as well. 100% recommended.Brilliant experience!

We chose the 5 hour Budapest City Tour and were able to do it the afternoon of our arrival in the city. It was a great introduction and overview of what we would be experiencing during our time in Budapest. Andras provided great insight and context about the City, the country and the region. We visited all the highlights, sampled local snacks and jumped on public transit. It was a fantastic experience. Andras stepped in after our previous guide was forced to cancel and his quick response to questions and updates were very reassuring, as this was our first "With Locals" tour. Andras was a great tour guide. Met us on time and gave us a perfectly pitched intro to Budapest. Showed us a number of the sights on the Pest side in the three hours but also by spending time at the river managed to highlight key Buda attractions . Really interesting insights into the history of Hungary and Budapest but also how it is today . Would highly recommend Perfectly pitched

With only two days in Budapest we needed a thorough overview and Andras delivered. He met us at our hotel with day passes for public transit which was a great way to see all the important sites. Andras’ commentary was filled with history, politics and a locals perspective on life in Budapest, providing us with real insight into what it is like to live here. We covered a tremendous amount of ground during our 5 hour tour. We then spent the next day getting a deeper dive on our own, fully confident in how to use the transit system. Andras also followed up with recommendations on where to eat or drink. We highly recommend Andras as your guide. Fantastic Primer to Budapest

Andras was a really nice guy to hang out with and took us to some interesting spots off the beaten track. He was friendly and knowledgeable without being a historian. Andras shared some of his real life experiences of living in Budapest as well as his worldly views of being a Hungarian today. The bikes we hired were excellent and comfortable. Due to time we were not able to have a beer with him which was a shame, but it was so nice of him to offer to hang out with us.Great local insight from a young local

Andras was our guide on a great bike tour of Budapest. We got a little lost on the way to the meeting spot and it didn’t matter- he was able to adjust his time and make the tour later. We saw all of the sights and even stopped for a quick snack at a spot we never would have found on our own- thank you for the time and local knowledge! We would for sure recommend a tour with Andras!Amazing local and personal tour!
