Hi, I'm Ângelo.

I was born in Lisbon but due professional reasons with one foot in other cities.

I'm a sports psychologist, but in 2010 I crossed paths with tourism and it became a true passion. Today, I'm starting my 4th season as a local host for Withlocals.

Lisbon captivates me every day. The unique light, the incredible viewpoints, the fusion of cultures and the vibrant energy. I love its history and Lisbon is made up of people and moments.

Another passion? Food! I'm a true foodie and I believe that the best way to get to know a culture is at a table, tasting authentic dishes and sharing stories.

I'm also passionate about photography and drone pilot — and Lisbon is a paradise for capturing special moments.

I'm a curious person, a world traveler, a dedicated host and I love welcoming you and revealing little secrets that only locals know. These are the details that make all the difference.

We had a terrific food tour with Angelo. His knowledge about Lisbon, his passion for its history, culture and food, and his insider knowledge of the best places to go made for a fun and very enriching tour. We had the absolute pleasure of touring with Angelo and can't recommend him highly enough! From the moment I booked, the experience was seamless. Angelo reached out right away and was super flexible with the tour start time and meeting point, which made everything so easy and stress-free. From the very beginning, Angelo impressed us with his deep knowledge of the city's history, sharing fascinating stories and fun facts you won’t find in any guidebook. He also gave us plenty of local tips—like how to avoid the steep uphill walks—and even introduced us to one of his favorite local snacks (such a thoughtful touch!). Angelo truly felt like a walking encyclopedia, but with the warmth and personality of a longtime friend. What really stood out was that even after the tour ended, he continued to be available to answer questions and sent over great recommendations for other parts of our trip. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our walking food tour in Lisbon with Angelo! He is the absolute best. Our entire experience was personally curated by Angelo using small, family-owned restaurants that he knew personally. Everything was authentic and everything was Portuguese. Further, Angelo's knowledge of history and the city only made our food tasting experience more special. Angelo is the best...you will not be disappointed! No one better than Angelo!

We were a group of 6 on a tour with the charming Angelo. He was so nice and full of knowledge and went above and beyond to make the whole experience top class. He gave us many tips before the tour and even reached our afterwards with other bar and restaurant recommendations. We all said afterwards it was the highlight of our Lisbon visit. So for an informative tour which included a lot of historical facts and interesting local tips you won't go wrong with Angelo.The food choices and wine we sampled were exceptional . Thank you Angelo. We had a fantastic 90-minute walking tour of Lisbon with Angelo! Our family of four, including two tween girls, really enjoyed the experience. Angelo was incredibly engaging, striking the perfect balance between informative and entertaining. He shared just the right amount of history to give us a great sense of Lisbon’s rich past without overwhelming us. He also had a great way of connecting with our daughters and keeping them interested the whole time — no small feat! We all agree that this was one of the best tours we have taken. Angelo's passion about the history of Lisbon was impressive and we all learned a lot. Angelo did a wonderful job of incorporating our interests into the tour. He personally selected the locations with thought and expertise. We left fully satisfied and full. We loved every part and highly recommend Angelo. Angelo was very communicative before the tour, asked us a lot of questions and was early to the tour. This is a perfect tour to take and learn about Portugal and enjoy delicious food. Passionate, informative, and tasty
