Hi there! Nice to meet you

Ângelo André

Hi, I'm Ângelo.

I was born in Lisbon but due professional reasons with one foot in other cities.

I'm a sports psychologist, but in 2010 I crossed paths with tourism and it became a passion.

Lisbon captivates me every day: The unique light, the incredible viewpoints, the fusion of cultures and the vibrant energy. I love its history, local culture and it's people.

Another passion? Food! I'm a true foodie and I believe that the best way to get to know a culture is at a table, tasting authentic dishes and sharing stories.

I'm a curious person, a world traveler, a dedicated host and I love welcoming you and revealing little secrets that only locals know.

If you are looking for a tour full of stories, local perspectives and/or unforgettable flavors, I am waiting for you! And of course, I can customize a tour 100%.

Bring a smile and lots of questions.

See you soon!

Our tour with Ângelo was the perfect way to kick off our trip to Lisbon! He was kind, engaging, and informative. Our tour was neighborhood-focused, which helped us orient ourselves within the city and understand the historical context of what we were seeing around us. We also tried some delicious local eats! I highly recommend Ângelo!

My group has never visited Lisbon before and after the tour with Angelo, it felt like we had a deep understanding of the history of the city, the culture and the best places to eat and visit. Angelo took his time and made sure he answered all of our questions in addition to giving us recommendations along the way. Angelo’s deep and expansive knowledge of the city made our day together absolutely perfect! Thank you SO much, Angelo. Highly, highly recommend! An AMAZING day in Lisbon with Angelo 🌞

We booked a food tour with Angelo after reading about his passion for history and his glowing reviews. We are so happy we did! Angelo was attentive to our groups' needs, thorough in his explanation of the historical and cultural evolution of Lisbon, and a true local foodie with diverse tastes. He did a great job of curating this tour with flavors that span from traditional sea food to Afro-Portugese cuisine. Since it was our first day in Portugal he went above and beyond to provide us with recommendations for almost every place we would be visiting on our trip. Truly an exceptional experience with Angelo that we could not recommend enough!Exceptional all around!!!

A tour with Angelo was the perfect addition to our stay in Lisboa. He took us on a fantastic wander around the city center, as well as some of its eateries, weaving history and gastronomy into a memorable stroll. My friend and I both felt we gained a unique insight into Portuguese culture, something which would have been more difficult to achieve on our own. Angelo was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and friendly. He went above and beyond making sure the tour was tailored to our preferences. I was new to gastronomy tours but will be signing up again when I visit new places. Highly recommend. The perfect guide

We really enjoyed our time with Ângelo. He combined history with food tasting to give us a unique viewpoint of Lisbon. The food/drink he selected for us was excellent but it was the bits of history related to the origins and development of various types of food and its impact on Portuguese culture that was fascinating to us. I would definitely recommend Ângelo for a tour of Lisbon!Wonderful experience with Angelo!

Ângelo responded to my request very quickly which was a relief . There’s so much to see in Lisbon and many neighbourhoods . Thanks to Angelo we managed to get the hang of the city quite well . Indeed Lisbon is a city made for walking . He told us a lot of the history of the city which gave us a good framework to understand the place . Best of all he showed us sights which are not highlighted on any tours, like the escalator in the metro to get up to Chiado from Biaxia. And told us not to do the tourist trap things like pay money for the lift to go up. He’s very passionate about his city and what he’s doing . He went over and above the time and was good in listing out all the additional sights , restaurants and things to do by watsapp after the tour. We had dinner in a nice local restaurant which he recommended after the tour . Nice home cooked food which we appreciated. I would recommend Angelo as your host if you visit Lisbon. A walking tour with lots of hidden gems

Angelo was an outstanding tour guide—articulate, insightful, and genuinely passionate about Lisbon. From the start, he took the time to tailor the experience to our interests. Since we were already a few days into our trip and had seen the main sights, we asked for a deeper, more off-the-beaten-path tour—and he absolutely delivered. Angelo brought us to hidden gems we never would have found on our own, sharing rich historical context and fascinating local stories along the way. He even went over the scheduled time to make sure we got the full experience, which we really appreciated. If you’re looking for a guide who’s not only informative and engaging but also flexible and attentive to your preferences, we can’t recommend Angelo enough. He made our time in Lisbon even more memorable—truly great value for money! Insightful and fun tour around Lisbon

We had scheduled a tour with Angelo for April 28. He adjusted the tour so that we could meet near our hotel (in Alfama). He was on time (even early) .. and we set off. We already knew some of the history of Lisbon from earlier tours, but Angelo added his own perspective and filled in some gaps for us. As we arrived at the first location, we discovered that the power had just gone out - and we unable to try the Pasteis de Nata that he had planned. This was no big deal, as we had tried them at Belem the previous day. We tried another location that Angelo knew, but they too had no power -- and we were slowly discovering that this was a major power failure, affecting both Spain and Portugal. We then moved on to trying Ginginha (at a little spot just off a square). We were impressed that at each place, Angelo clearly knew the owners, and seemed he was getting some special (faster) treatment. We next went to try bifana (which was awesome!) and then an empanada (also amazing). When we arrived at the wine and cheese tasting, we had a slightly bigger problem -- it was a small place, with no light - and there was already a large group at the only large window! He worked with the team there to find a solution .. and eventually we ended up right by the window. We wondered back over into Alfama for our final stop, at a lovely place a few steps from our hotel. Angelo knew the owner well (he came over and chatted with us for a while). We were supposed to try Pastel de Bacalhau there, but they couldn't make those without electricity -- so we had sardines on toasts instead. I hadn't tried these -- and they were actually very good. It was a challenging day, but we appreciated how Angelo made it work. Foodie Tour (during a power failure!)
