Our tour of the hawker markets with Ang was great fun! Ang is enthusiastic and knowledgeable about both the history and culture of Singapore and it's very varied food. He left us with an illustrated guide while he beetled off into the market, which was very helpful when trying to figure out what we were eating. His food choices were generally good, though we did prefer the selection at the first hawker market. The tour perhaps could have been better paced, as we were VERY full after the first market - worth noting that a bite or two of each dish is enough if you want to get through it all (even if it seems a crime to waste all that food). Ang was very solicitous, making sure we had time to use the bathroom and wash our hands during our visits. He left us with some thoughtful gifts and fun memories - thank you Ang!Food, history and fun!

We had a delish 2 hours eating with Ang! It was a crazy hot day and the first thing he did was present us with "personalized" fans. Then he took us to two Hawker Centres, sat us down with drinks and cutlery (at a cooler table) and then charged off, returning with a parade great food. Tons of variety. Then he took us around to the stalls that sold it, pointing out Michlen mentions. We shared over 15 dishes ( lots if food!) and learned all about Hawker culture. We are totally comfortable in Hawker Centres now! At the end if 2.5 hours he presented us with gifts- such a nice surprise. Then walked us to the best MRT station for us. It was a terrific afternoon- had to have a rest after! Thank you, Ang! Linda and "Partner"What a character!

Overall a good day. Interesting insights into history, politics and culture. Some difficulties with conversations outside these areas. Ang was very well prepared, enthusiastic, and gave us thoughtful gifts to remember our time in Singapore, and very helpfully took us by metro to the entrance of the gardens by the bay at the end of the tour even though we had already spent over 4 hours with him as we were unsure how to get there It was a very hot day and his itinerary took this into account. Enjoyed visit to private housing and roof top view, as this was definitely something only locals would know about. Interesting visit to market and to try street food, but felt this was slightly too long. Great history lesson

Ang is very passionate and shared a lot about history of Singapore. He helped me customized my trip which I appreciate and overall it was a good trip. Some feedback for improvement: Ang mentioned a few stories where people from my home country did things that offended Singapore people. I don’t think he meant to be rude, but it came off as condescending and made me feel uncomfortable. There are good and bad tourists from every country and I think those comments were unnecessary. Otherwise, good trip. Ang prepared small gifts for me in the end and it was very sweet and I appreciate it. Overall good trip with some feedback

Ang does a wonderful job sharing the history and social organization of the cultures and the history that shaped today's Singapore. Experiences that included visiting a market and a public housing site helped to illustrate these. Very insightful and entertaining.Great Insights

The Bowers family ( mum , dad and teen) cannot recommend Ang highly enough! His knowledge , passion and generosity blew us all away. We learnt so much about his city, culture , orgins and food and brought the city to life . The thought he put into the delivery of his information even kept the teen engaged! ( not a easy feat!) Thank you x best walking tour ever!!

Ang is a great and enthusiastic guide. He had prepared de tour so well and even gave me and my family some personal welcome gifts and things to remember Singapore. During the tour he told us a lot about the history, architecture and the way of living in the city. We saw many places we would have never looked for ourselves. We ended the tour with a stop at the food court where we eat some lovely food. The tour was great fun and Ang took care of all costs (taxi, bus and food).Super tour with a great guide

We had a great day with Ang learning all about Singapore and not only seeing the popular sights, but also off the beaten path sights that we would’ve never known about if it weren’t for Ang. He also took us to a food center and stuffed us full of all sorts of Singapore dishes that we never would’ve tried without his guidance. Would definitely recommend a tour with Ang to anyone visiting Singapore. Great tour of Singapore!
