I grew up in a village just outside of Amsterdam and moved to the city when I was 18 to study social sciences and european studies. I loved living here; especially all the fine culture that this city has to offer. After graduating from the University of Amsterdam I spent some time working in a great variety of fields such as science, music, spirituality and art, which eventually led me into tour guiding. This allows me to share my knowledge of the city and it's culture with other people. Currently, most of the tours I conduct are about art and history.

Anna was terrific from beginning to end! She advised me to change the tour we requested, met us ontime in the lobby, and adapted the tour to our requests. Not only is Anna very smart and well prepared, but she does a great job of engaging with you and making sure you are on the same page for what you want see and not just going through a checklist of items. We visited the Rijksmuseum, which is a huge facility with thousands of possible things to see, and the first thing she did was pause and help us think through what types of exhibits we were interested in. Once we decided that, it took the pressure off trying to "see everything" which was impossible in a 2 hour tour. We moved directly to the areas we wanted and never felt rushed. The resulting conversation about the exhibits was easy and free flowing allowing her to tailor the tour to our specific areas of interest and answer all of our questions. She is a real pro! We highly recommend! Simply the Best!

Anna was a great guide for us. She was easy to contact, prompt, and flexible allowing us to change we the tour start location. This was critical because walking is a challenge for my husband. What a fantastic walking tour with Anna! She was engaging, fun and very knowledgeable about the history of Amsterdam. We explored some very interesting suburbs around Amsterdam and learnt about various things such as the East India Trading Company and the 80 year war. This was done through a very well thought out tour. We had a great time!Super walking tour

Totally worth every penny. To go on a tour with Anna’s experience, intimate knowledge of the pieces we went over was priceless! She gently guided our group of ten along the busy pieces, shared great information and in depth background of the pieces and the life of the artists and ways to appreciate the art work for someone that has no art background. We hired Anna to give us a walking tour of Amsterdam on our first day. Her job was to keep two very tired and jet lagged Canadians awake for the afternoon! Mission accomplished.
