Together with my colleagues (urban farmers, beekeepers and worm composters in Amsterdam) we give workshops to children and adults about how to grow their own food in the city, work in food growing and food awareness projects and give bike tours around community garden/agricultural projects.

We are members of an urban gardening collective called 'Cityplot' that consists of a multi-disciplinary group of talented and inventive naturelovers.

We had a fantastic tour with Jaffie where we had the opportunities not only to discover and walkthrough hidden gardens in Amsterdam, but also to better understand the motivations of the people engaged in buidling these gardens. Jaffie is very well connected with this community which opens another dimension to trip. Jaffie is a totally passionate story teller and she wanted to be sure we see everything. Hi Ann!! My husband and I didn't really know what to expect when we signed up to take a tour of Amsterdam with Ann, but boy did we have the time of our lives. Ann guided us on our bikes through central Amsterdam to the ferries where we crossed over to Amsterdam North and saw some beautiful gardens and enjoyed hot tea surrounded by gorgeous plants and greenery. After hopping back on the ferry, Ann was happy to answer all of our questions. She was so enthusiastic about her volunteer work and about Amsterdam in general that she made the whole experience one of our favorite parts of our 10 day stay in Amsterdam. I highly recommend signing up for a bike tour with Ann. Biking with Ann! Best part of our trip!

El día fue muy especial sin afán disfrutamos de andar en bicicleta por Amsterdam, conociendo lugares donde trabajan juntas comunidades alrededor de la siembra de alimentos. Aprendimos bastante, esto gracias a nuestro guía Edu, quien respondió todas nuestras preguntas, y de manera muy abierta y amable compartió su conocimiento y su búsqueda por hacer de este rincón del mundo un lugar más sostenible. Naomi designed a beautiful garden tour. From local neighborhood gardens to an elementary school garden we learned how people are gardening to improve the diversity of the insects and plants that can improve the quality of life for all. Gardens become a safe place for children to gather and learn how to locally produce food and beauty. Thank you Naomi for showing us this side of Amsterdam!Insiring garden bike tour

Jaffie was the perfect guide - took us to so many beautiful urban gardens throughout the city which we would have never known about otherwise. So interesting to hear about housing and development in the city. Highly recommended !! Perfect tour of secret green spaces

Our Guide, Naomi, was personable, informative and very knowledgeable. We got to see different areas of the city, away from the normal tourist areas, and learned a lot about the local farming and gardening initiatives. We highly recommend this tour and our guide! We look forward to doing it again in a different season to see the changes. Oh, and it was wonderful to bike everywhere, just like the locals!Terrific Experience!

Ann is the best! (And Noami too!). The bike rental was super easy and Ann is a great leader for those who may be new to biking in Amsterdam. She took us to some very cool community gardens that were each beautiful but also unique so it wasn’t like seeing the same thing over and over. We had so much fun chatting with Ann and Naomi and wish we could have spent the whole day together. Would absolutely recommend this tour, or others like it, for anyone visiting the city and next time we are here we will be reaching out again for another fun experience. I attended this bike tour with my husband and 18 year old son and we really enjoyed our afternoon with Toby. It was a very hot day and only our second time on bikes in Amsterdam, so Toby kept things at a good speed and found us some shady spots for water breaks. He is very knowledgeable and was able to answer all the questions we asked. It was very cool to see and learn about different gardening methods and we were also able to see one of the school gardens, which was amazing. This tour is a great way to see different parts of the city that you may not see otherwise, enjoy a ferry ride and get more comfortable on a bike. Toby was a super great guide and taught of lots of new things that we hope to use to get our gardens started. Thanks Toby! I highly recommend this tour.
