We were so lucky to book Anselmo for our family's biking tour of Porto! With a husband that bikes regularly, discerning teens, and our fill of the typical tourist attractions, we wanted something off the beaten track. We got that from Anselmo. We were treated to a local's view of the beautiful city- romantic streets, spectacular views, wonderfully curated history and a beer/lemonade at the coolest little river spot. The Duoro Valley is a special place and Anselmo provided a first class experience. He customized the tour to maximize time while emphasizing the Valley’s beauty as we drove (no boat needed) to take in the landscapes and explore the terrain. Anselmo was both informative and friendly in explaining aspects of the region and his choices for wine tastings and lunch were top notch. A great day.Excellent experience

What a nice, funny and caring guide. We went the unused tourist route, we did not meet any other guides and cyclists. We enjoyed all the stories and facts. Lots of laughter and fun. Highly recommended!Book, bike and have a lot of fun!

We (a group of 4) recently did the Douro Valley tour with Anselmo. In short, you cannot pick a better guide than Anselmo, he gave us a true VIP experience. He kept us entertained with some great facts and pointed out the sights on the drive to the valley. We stopped at a nice overlook spot for pictures upon entering the valley. Anselmo let us choose between a boat ride on the river or an extra wine tasting stop. We chose the boat ride. It was nice to be on the water and the views were great. After that we stopped at a nice winery and did a tasting. Anselmo very clearly explained all the ins and outs of port wine. Next Anselmo took us to an extremely beautiful hotel and restaurant for lunch. This was unexpected. The food was amazing and included more wine than we could drink. I was a little concerned that the bill was going to be huge given the quality of the food and how nice the place was. It turned out to be extremely reasonable in price. Finally we toured the wine making facilities at the same hotel. This was my favorite part as the facility is integrated into the side of the mountain and is architecturally spectacular. Anselmo is knowledgeable and answered all of our questions, but he was never overwhelming with too many facts or speeches. He strikes just the right balance. He also has the hook ups with the best places to visit. Use Anselmo for all of your Porto area tour needs. You cannot go wrong!Best Guide

The absolute best experience with Anselmo! He picked us up on time from our hotel in Porto and whisked us away to the Douro valley. Along the way he provided us with great information about the history of the area. We also stopped a few times for fantastic views,pictures and information about the vineyards. We visited two wineries. One for an amazing lunch, tasting snd winery tour and one for delicious port tasting. We could not have had a better day! Anselmo was so knowledgeable, personable and professional. I’ve already referred him to my Dad and his friends who will be visiting Porto next month!An Incredible Experience!

I’ve been on two tours with Anselmo and they were both perfect. His knowledge of Porto, the Douro Valley, and wine is vast and he has great answers for every question you ask. He has shown us great views we wouldn’t possibly have found on our own and every spot we stopped was amazing. I highly recommend booking a tour with Anselmo, you’ll love it. Fantastic experience

The bike tour with Anselmo is highly recommended. It already started with the great communication beforehand. We were scheduled to cycle with Anselmo on Friday, but on Thursday we had dinner at a restaurant he recommended. That was already a promising start to the bike ride. Anselmo takes you off the beaten track. If you're looking for a ride past all the major city landmarks, he's probably not the guide for you. But if you'd like to cycle along the Romantic Road, enjoy views from a quiet bridge overlooking Porto, and experience something a little different: definitely book with Anselmo. He speaks English well and takes photos of your group during the tour. We would absolutely recommend him!Perfect to explore Porto's hidden corners
