Do not take a tour with Lola. She is, by far, the worst tour guide I have ever had. Lola dismissed several well-documented historical photographs as fabrications from the 1970s without providing any credible sources for her claims. She contradicted cited and dated materials with what appeared to be personal opinions rather than facts. She is the most disrespectful person I met during our trip to Japan. When we viewed images depicting fallen soldiers, she laughed and mocked them (since they were ‘fakes’). She also mocked and laughed at me personally and my genuine interest in learning about the history. Her behavior was both unprofessional and offensive given the nature of the historical content. There were several instances where she made us feel unwelcome for asking questions about the islands’ history - the very reason we booked a historical tour. She was so dismissive that she actually suggested I use my mobile phone to look up information myself rather than doing her job as a guide. Also concerning was her use of Facebook while driving. Additionally, there was no air conditioning during the hot weather (I’m not sure if it was broken or she just kept it off), making the ride uncomfortable. We were required to pay for the entrance to the museums ourselves even though the tour specifically called out tickets were included. We had hoped to gain meaningful insights into the historical significance of these islands and have an engaging, educational experience. Instead, we left feeling disappointed and frustrated. I would strongly recommend finding another tour guide who takes both history and the customer seriously. Disappointing and Unprofessional

We just had an amazing day in Naha with Lola as our guide. She took us around a number of sights but she also allowed us to tailor it to us. She is such s warm and interesting person which made the day even more enjoyable as we had so many interesting conversations. I cannot recommend Lola enough. She is a brilliant guide and amazing person. I highly recommend booking Lola to guide you around Naha!!Amazing day in Naha with Lola!!

I spent 8 amazing hours in Okinawa with Lola. Her assistance in organizing my trip was crucial since I needed a customized tour for health reasons. She was super flexible and tailored an itinerary just for me. Her suggestions about the Second Ward War museums, especially the Japanese Navy Underground Headquarters and the Peace Memorial Park and Museum, along with the other visits she picked and the timing, all came together perfectly. She even took me to a nearby beach where I could enjoy the sun and the sandy shore. Finally, we enjoyed some grilled meat at a local restaurant. I highly recommend Lola for personalized tours in Okinawa if you want to get a deep dive into Japanese culture and history in a short time. Thanks, Lola! I highly recommend Lola, a local guide in Okinawa. We found her through a guided tour by locals website, and she’s absolutely amazing. She customized our tour in Okinawa. Lola took us on a tour of Okinawa's World War II museums, and it was an incredible experience. She arranged our itinerary and was super accommodating to our preferences. She’s really knowledgeable about all the important sites; she shared fantastic insights into the Himeyuri Nurses Memorial Monument and Peace Museum, the Japanese Navy Underground Headquarters, and the Peace Memorial Park and Museum. Lola even took us on an impromptu trip to see some beautiful shrines and temples. It was a wonderful tour, and Lola is such a friendly and well-informed guide. We’ve already booked Lola for our next visit in autumn, and she has customized a tour for us to Shuri Castle, Okinawa World, Gyokusendo Cave, and a local food tasting in the city center in the evening. I totally recommend Lola, a local guide in Okinawa!

Lola was great to have as a tour guide. She happily brought me to wherever I wished. We began at Hacksaw Ridge since I’m a HUGE fan of the film. We also saw the underground headquarters, Sugar Loaf Hill, Shuri Castle and the beach. She provided explanations of the sites along with insights of life on Okinawa. Okinawans are the longest living people on Earth for a reason. Here we are 80 years after the Battle of Okinawa, the last great battle of World War II and how warfare would never be the same from this point onwards. Such a humbling experience and an honour to walk in the footsteps of the brave men who fought there. I cannot that Lola enough. What an amazing day. Her communication in sorting out the itinerary and then taking me on some incredible surprises that I hadn’t even read about were fantastic. Such a lovely, friendly guide and I couldn’t have asked for any better. From the bottom of my heart it was a day I will always treasure xxJust perfect!!

Lola is such a lively and enthusiastic guide; we can't recommend her enough! On February 27, 2025, my friend Sue and I were greeted with warmth by Lola, who recognized us right away from our photo. She made us feel right at home, which was an awesome way to kick off our adventure! Lola's bubbly personality and sense of humor helped us relax, making the tour super enjoyable. Throughout the day, she took us on a short nature walk and introduced us to some amazing food tastings. We really appreciated how flexible Lola was, and she deserves a big shoutout for that. In the evenings, she showed us the vibrant nightlife and bars in American Village. We had a blast and were happy the entire time. Huge respect for Lola; she truly excels at her job as a tour guide! Okinawa is stunning, and we’ll treasure the photos and videos Lola captured of us forever. Thanks again, Lola! Without doubt one if our favourite guided tour. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by Lola. She greeted us by our names and we felt welcomed from the start! The guide and tour was extremely good, very flexible (appreciate this!) and for that she deserves a special thanks. We had a nice local meal for lunch. Lola is a highly motivated guide (recommendable!). We truly enjoyed her walking through the sites with us. . The meal at the end was a great way to end the day. All respect for Lola who did superb job, a true sample of excellent tour guide! Many thanks again and I recommend Lola Mizutani to everyone!Excellent tour guide!
