Hi there! Nice to meet you

I am licensed tour guide in Poland and specifically in Krakow. I know secrets of this unique city. I love sharing my knowledge about this lovely city. I am also very much interested in the Jewish heritage of Krakow. I will help you experience better the sights, sounds, and the culture of Krakow. I love history, especially history of 20th century. I was shaped by hearing stories of 2 world war from my grandparents and experiencing myself communist period.

That's why guiding is really my passion. I think I am having a great sense of humour. It is very important in life, so I try mixing history with lots of funny stories during my tours!

I have been working as tour guide mainly with English-speaking visitors.

I have extensive tourism experience including guiding polish groups in Italy, Spain, France, Portugal and Central Europe. It allowed me to combine many stories and facts from almost whole Europe.

Lesser Poland is called the region with the main city - Krakow. In Krakow there are many things to do and many things to see - The Old town, Jewish district, Ghetto area, Communist district. For me, being traveller it is also important to immerse yourself in a local culture. I will help you to understand our habits and show local places with good food and give you some tips how to avoid tourist traps.

Bartek arranged our tour of Auschwitz as well as a tour of the Jewish Museum in Oswiecim, a few kilometers from the Memorial. He is knowledgeable about Polish history and is enjoys teaching others about his country. Bartel was also very adaptable - helping to pick us up in the pouring rain from the Memorial and arranging a spur-of-the-moment-trip to the Jewish Cemetery in Oswiecim, including securing a key to the cemetery and driving us to the location. He also provided a lot of information on the history of Krakow on our drive. Bartek is great!

I had a great time hiking in the Tatras Mountains with Bartek. He was friendly, did a great job coordinating the day, had interesting talking points and the scenery on the hike we went on was beautiful. As a solo female traveler who has been trying to go on more hike while traveling, this was exactly the experience I was looking for to get out of the city and see the countryside, and it felt really safe from pick up to drop off. If you enjoy hiking and good company, would highly recommend this tour experience. Thank you, Bartek!Great hike!

We had never visited Krakow before but have enjoyed walking tours of several new cities around the world to orient us to the city. Bartek was the very best of what a tour guide should be - great knowledge of history, architecture, geography, social life, contemporary issues for the city and nation. He has a delightful personality, relaxed, easy going and filled with interesting commentary all along the way, including the (at times) humorous superstitions threaded throughout Krakovian history. He was very accommodating, offering to meet us at our hotel or several other locations. The pace of the tour was great with a relaxing stop for coffee along the way. The pre arrival communication was easy and straightforward which gave us great confidence - we were not at all disappointed. We give Bartek the strongest recommendation we could give for his time with us.Superb Tour Guide

We had an excellent afternoon walking tour with Bartek in Krakow Old Town. Bartek’s knowledge of Krakow is encyclopaedically good, and he very quickly understood our interests and how best to bring Krakow's history alive for us. Most importantly, he himself was a very interesting and friendly person to spend time with. First class! Exceptional Krakow Guide

Bartek is the greatest! I already loved and treasured Krakow more than any other place I’d ever been, but Bartek brought it even closer to my heart. He is so smart, enthusiastic, patient, kind, mature, responsive, flexible, fun -- all that good stuff. He’ll work with you in advance to discover places and events having to do with your own special interests – for me he took it upon himself to do extra research on my poetic heroes/heroines, and took me to local destinations I never could have found on my own. Places undiscoverable on the typical tourist maps, even though nearby, and best reached via tram or bus. (Hard to imagine navigating the city transportation system on my own with the eight or nine Polish words I “sort of knew” and could barely pronounce!) Bartek’s own enthusiasm for Krakow was evident in the depth and breadth of his knowledge and in his delight in sharing it. I could go on and on about how Bartek expanded “my” Poland, but I urge you to find out yourself. From small, inexpensive student restaurants and obscure special events in the old town, to hot springs and national parks at the edges of the Carpathians (with Bartek, city or countryside, I heard only Polish being spoken!), you will get way beyond being merely an appreciative tourist on a break from your “real” life. Your time in Krakow ill have been and continue to be part of your real life in a way that trips “abroad,” no matter how wonderful, almost never are.Bartek is wonderful! Go for it!

Bartek gave my 14 yo grandson and me a fantastic tour of Main Square, Wawel Castle, and the Jewish Quarter for most of the day. His knowledge and story-telling ability of the history of Krakow and especially what occurred during the period leading up to WWII was very broad and spending the day with Bartek was a pleasure. The pace was perfect, he chose a great restaurant for a quick bite, and we gained an excellent understanding of Krakow and the history of Poland. My grandson and I highly recommend Bartek if you are looking for a well-paced and informative day! Fantastic!

We did the Krakow walking tour with Bartek and it was great. He knows so much history and shares it so easily, including sharing all the local myths and fables. Fun day and great hanging out with him. We ended up booking a couple of extra tours with him. Bartek certainly made our stay in Krakow special. Great day with Bartek

We did multiple tours with Bartek : from the horrors of Auschwitz-Birkenau to discovering the delightful city that is Krakow and the Jewish quarter ; hearing about the history, the impact of the Nazi invasion and also the lovely folk tales /myths surrounding various churches and buildings. Bartek is a font of information and he delivers it in enough detail to keep one engaged. He is amazingly flexible and will do what it takes to make the tour worthwhile. We found it really easy to hang out with him and talk about lots of issues and life in Poland. He absolutely made our time in Krakow so much more interesting and fun and I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending his services. Our time in Krakow would have been half as interesting if we had not had Bartek with us. Just do it! Krakow unmasked
