He customized the tour to take us into areas we wanted to see; we visited fantastic restaurants that included some local gems that we never would have known about on our own. As a life-long resident of Cape Town, he knows a lot about the city and South Africa. He shared interesting experiences and perspectives. After a dismal morning weather we eventually met up with Bhirdev and had the most mouth watering experience. He is funny, pleasant and above all very knowledgeable. He had the history of South Africa on his fingertip and gave historical background to the food. In spite this being food tasting we were so full at the end of the tour that we could hardly walk. We were a last minute tour and only when we met did we briefly explain our interests. Dev immediately adjusted his route and started with a concise and fascinating history of S Africa leading to where we find it today. Just enough. All along our way he kept us informed and interested in back story- character and history of neighborhoods, cultural and political dimensions, things to be aware of and wary about. And tips for further explorations with safety. There was no topic that he couldn’t respond to with knowledge and guidance and brought us non response to the best spice seller, shops that were unique, and incredible in beautiful arts and crafts…and how to best negotiate for price without being obnoxious…we also learned about ways, beyond the tour that he could support our intentions for our time in CT and the wine country. Excellent choice!!Dev is amazing!

Great tour with Bhirdev, exactly what we were looking for. Took us to street food vendors and eateries all filled with locals. We would have been a bit intimidated to step inside some of the places on our own but we were so glad we did. Food was 100% delicious with great variety. we learned a lot and laughed a lot along the way. I would take another tour with him anytime. Fun, delicious, educational walking tour

Our guide was Bhirdev. He took us on a very well organized and fun walking tour of Cape Town's local food and culture. Each location was uniquely local, meaning that we were experiencing food made by locals and our business was directly helping locals. If Bhirdev had not showed us these places, we would have walked right by and never known what we were missing. The food was fantastic and it is exactly the experience we were hoping to enjoy. We had the best afternoon with our new friend Bhirdev who kept us laughing and eating as he showed us around the city he is so passionate about. Blank doorways opened up into exciting foodie destinations we never would have stumbled across, with introductions to Bunny Chow, Koeksisters, pap, a crazy drumming class and the friendliest locals over a Castle beer.
