Hi there! Nice to meet you

Brendan

Hi, I'm Brendan. Like the Irish medieval explorer St. Brendan, I've always been drawn to exploring different cultures. From Irish roots and a Brazilian farm upbringing, my passion for food and travel began early. After exploring almost 50 countries and spending nine years in tech, I've settled in Spain, my true home. I'm excited to share my love for Spanish food and culture with you on a fun and engaging tour in lesser-known parts.

Great tour and way more than we paid for without question. My wife and I take food tours all the time. I have never been so full on a food tour. Great selections and great history with Brendan’s knowledge of the Barcelona area. It’s great to get more than you feel you paid for in a tour. Thanks BrandanBy John

Absolute must tour, especially if you’ve got a 48 hour stop off in Barcelona and want to see the sites, get off the beaten track and see Barcelona from a unique and refreshing perspective. Brendan’s knowledge was perfect for us. We like culture and history, but we liked his humour and the delivery as much as the content. Some fantastic quirky facts you wouldn’t get from a book. Brendan is well travelled speaks multiple languages and his story is as interesting as Barcelona itself. He made us feel so welcome in the city he has adopted as home and the places we visited were ‘real’ Barcelona. The time together flew by which is credit to his great ability to keep it lively, interesting and authentic. Thanks so much Brendan.Barcelona & Brendan - perfect match

What an amazing experience! Brendan was so knowledgeable about the city of Barcelona, the traditions, and the food! His passion for food, history, and culture is so evident. He has so much life experience for a young man. It was a pleasure to spend the day with him. Highly recommended tour!By Suzanne

Now THAT was a food tour! Plenty of laughter, history, information, tastings, and lots of food. Brendan knows his subject (Barcelona food) and shares it generously. We've had other food tours but he actually feeds you. Good to meet you, Brendan, we had a great time with you. Jim & Candy J, Saugatuck, MichiganReview by Jim

We were in Barcelona for a five days in late October and did the Taste of Catalan Elegance experience in order to balance traditional sightseeing and trying out traditional wines. We would highly recommend the tour. The guide, Brendan, is very personable and knowledgeable of the history of the Roman Quarter, Barcelona and Catalan culture in general. We got a good insight into the area and he gave us some great recommendations for restaurants and other things to do during our stay. The tasting itself happened in an intimate Catalan cellar which really charmed us. The sommelier, Joan, is very passionate about his profession and the time flew by as we learned about cultivation methods, tasting techniques and life philosophy. The food and wines were all of excellent quality and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. Overall, I think the tour is excellent value for money and a great way to learn more about the city while indulging in some great wines. Highly recommended.Delicious and enlightening experience in Barcelona

My friends and I booked the food tour and luxury wine tasting with Brendan. It was absolutely the highlight of my trip! Brendan is so knowledgeable about the history of Barcelona and the intersection with food and wine. If you are visiting Barcelona, you HAVE to go on one of his tours! Thank me later ;)Review by Bridgett Rorrer

Brendan took us on a tour of an area of Barcelona and we enjoyed it so much we asked about taking another tour. Brendan asked us what we would like to see and experience and designed a 2nd tour. We were taken to the original Roman buildings, a bakery, candy shop and a wine shop. We were treated to a number of very good wines and some cheeses at the wine store. The owner spoke very good English. We had a cup of very thick chocolate with churros to dip into it. We visited a very modern market and enjoyed lunch. Along the way Brendan pointed out historic buildings and squares. We hope to go back to Barcelona and tour with Brendan again. He is highly recommended by us.Very Inclusive Tour

I highly recommend Brendan as a tour guide, his knowledge and friendliness are a rare find. We did the Tapas tour at 10:30 am and it was about 3-4 hours ending in lunch and drinks. My wife and I were so spoiled and full at the end, that we skipped dinner. I loved the history lessons too.By Vinnie

Brendan was an excellent guide for this tour- very personable and very well versed in the history of the area and the food that we’d be trying. I learned a lot, I ate a ton, and the time itself flew by. He did an excellent job keeping the discussion flowing in our very small group and I genuinely loved all the different items we got to try throughout the day (including some dishes I’d never heard of before!). Would absolutely recommend him to any visitor to Barcelona who loves a good meal and great conversation :)By Julia

Embarking on a bicycle tour in Barcelona is like diving headfirst into a vibrant tapestry of culture, history, and scenic beauty. From the moment we pedaled off, it was clear this would be an unforgettable journey. The tour wound its way through the heart of the city, offering glimpses of Barcelona's architectural marvels. Our guide Brendan shared fascinating anecdotes that brought these structures to life, making us appreciate the history behind them even more. As we cycled through the bustling streets, we felt the pulse of the city. The Gothic Quarter, with its narrow, labyrinthine alleyways and hidden plazas, was a highlight. It was like stepping back in time, with every corner revealing a new story from Barcelona's rich past. One of the best parts of the tour was the local insights. Brendan pointed out charming cafes, tapas bars, and hidden gems that we would have otherwise missed. The tour was well-paced, suitable for all fitness levels, and the bikes were in excellent condition. Safety was a top priority, and the route was carefully chosen to avoid heavy traffic, ensuring a stress-free and enjoyable experience.By Brad
