I am an open-minded person who loves communicating and seeing joy in others' faces. I like to share experiences and knowledge. Before the university I worked 3 years in the Palace of the Pena like guide and cultural entertainer. As an animator I also worked in the City Museum, Queluz Palace and Mafra Palace. Then I graduated in Philosophy and History of Ideas and for this reason I have a very panoramic and interdisciplinary vision. For example, if you wish I can take you on a visit to the gardens of Lisbon, or prepare a itinerary only for churches. I have traveled extensively in Europe and South America. I love to show Lisbon, where I currently live, and Sintra, where I grew up.

We had a great introductory tour of Lisbon with Carlos. It was our first day there and the perfect way to start out getting to know the city. Covered a lot and he was super informative and flexible in showing us the sights. Also gave us a lot of extra info after the tour. Would highly recommend.

I am so happy that we booked the Tram 28 tour with Carlos. His guidance eliminated all the stress and worries about where to catch the tram and how to navigate everything. Riding the tram was such a fun experience! We rode it to the very top of the hill/route then walked back down back to our meeting point, chatting and learning about Lisbon along the way. He was kind enough to indulge my curiosity about a particular church, allowing us off his regular route to see inside, and he made sure we enjoyed the famous pastel de nata. The tour ended at the oldest bookstore in Lisbon where we learned about all the brilliant Portuguese writers and poets. For Lisbon first-timers, the tour was a brilliant experience and Carlos was a brilliant guide. Obrigada Carlos! Terrific Tour

Carlos was an excellent tour guide! He’s very personable and has great knowledge of the city. Although Lisbon is a big city, we were able to cover a lot of ground and he even showed us some of his favorite local spots. I would highly recommend anyone traveling to the Lisbon area, especially for the first time, to book a tour with Carlos. Great tour!!!

My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful time on our tour with Carlos. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the city and his passion for Lisbon’s culture - from the language, to history, to music, to the food and drink - shone through during the entire tour. Not only did he give us an extensive tour and and experiences while walking the city, he was very accessible after and shared further resources and recommendations. He was wonderful. We spent 3 hours with Carlos, who is the most extraordinary guide we’ve ever had, anywhere. He not only knows Lisbon like the back of his hand, he’s a historian with a masters degree. Starting with a tram trip up to St Jorge, he took us on a fascinating walking tour (downhill! 🙂) of the old neighborhoods and important buildings and churches, all the while telling the poignant stories of what happened there. Learning that we were particularly interested in Jewish history, he was so knowledgeable that he could interweave those stories and add those sites in as well. Impressive and lovely man. We highly recommend him, and booked him for a second tour while we were in Lisbon!What an amazing guie!

This was our first visit to Lisbon and our first experience of of using 'With Locals' I have to say that we couldn't have wished for a better host. Carlos has an easy, relaxed communication style and he was able to relay and share so much information in 3 hrs - his passion and knowledge about the history and and the present day 'must see' places across Lisbon was second to none and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Fabulous host in beautiful Lisbon
