Our afternoon in Kadikoy was exactly what we hoped for. Rather than a “tour”, it was like meeting an old friend for food, drinks, conversation and an afternoon stroll. Ceren was friendly, courteous, professional and very easy to talk to. She gave us plenty of information about Kadikoy but even more than that we were able to enjoy just visiting about all kinds of things over some great food and a cocktail. Great food tour experience with Ceren. She was very informative and friendly. Ceren recommended Kadikoy on the Asian side for our tasting tour and we are glad we followed her advice. Less tourists and more local places with hidden gems that Ceren made us discover. Would highly recommend the tour.

Ceren was a wonderful friendly guide who accommodated our chaotic arrival, knew great spots and showed us an evening of a true local. Walking through the markets of Kadıköy and having fresh mezze and lahmacun was a very tasty experience. Many of our edible gifts for family came from this tour. We ended up returning to the toured region every night for dinner and she really shaped our experience of Istanbul. We feel we left with a new friend :). A truly local trendy town - great mezze

Jan and I have booked several With Locals experiences, in several different destinations. Our Food Tasting tour with Ceren has been one of our favorite tours for the following reasons: Communication, knowledge, experience, and thoughtfulness. Ceren responded to our booking request, and all of our replies promptly and clearly. Which gave us confidence we were going to be in good hands. She provided us with detailed instructions to our initial meeting location, and provided us with transportation options. Ceren is very knowledge about not only the history of the foods we experienced, but also the neighborhoods, and the people who influenced the food and drinks we experienced. Her description of each item we tried, before we tried them, increased our anticipation to taste the item. Ceren was a delightful companion. Jan and I felt like we were visiting a good personal friend, who was taking us out to some really cool places most tourists don’t know about. We shared wonderful conversations throughout the tour. During my brief stay in Istanbul, I had the pleasure of joining Ceren for a food tour on my first night, and it was truly exceptional. Despite my limited time, Ceren's expertise and warmth ensured I experienced the best of Istanbul's culinary scene, starting with the lively Asian shore of Kadiköy. It was very friendly and her extensive knowledge not only made the tour enjoyable but also invaluable for the next days of my trip especially when exploring other areas like Sultanahmet and Istiklal Avenue. We really enjoyed our tour of the Kadıköy neighborhood with Ceren. It was so different from the other neighborhoods we'd seen in Istanbul, and really gave us an idea how diverse the city is.
