My new wife and I were recommended to Ching Meng by a friend who toured with him seven years ago and it was incredible! We both absolutely loved the history, the tour, and the food was fantastic. He made the whole trip so simple and worthwhile. He also took pictures of us along the way at beautiful locations. Our parents are visiting Singapore next year and we told them they must do this tour! We cannot speak highly enough of our experienceAmazing!!

Chingmeng provided a great tour. This exceeded our expectations. Not only did we get lots of amazing food and drink, he provided us with a lot of history and background information and answered our questions. The walk between stops was just as valuable as the food stops as we visited places we probably wouldn't have ourselves. Some previous reviews did note a lack of food stops. We disagreed; while there were only three stops, there was plenty of food at each, and we were very full by the end of it. Chingmeng was very responsive to our needs - e.g. avoiding getting wet in torrential rain and ensuring we knew how to get back to our hotel after the tour. Would highly recommend.Great food tour

Chingmeng has a wealth of details about Singapore. From both a historical and up-to-date point-of-view he was able to put everything into context. The sites we visited were each in a different quarter and Chingmeng taught us a little of each area. The food we tasted in each location were interesting but (for us) too much… We would strongly recommend Chingmeng as your guide. Enlightened

Chingmeng was not very pleasant and was very difficult to understand. He knew we were hard of hearing but he continued to talk as he walked away. We could not find the meeting spot and so we were late. I tried to explain that I thught the description of the spot was incorrect and he responded by saying the description for the meeting spot has worked for 10 years and it was fine for everyone else, so why did we have trouble? He brought up US politics and we had no interest in discussing politics. He acted tired and bored. I would not recommend this guide.Not very excited to be doing his job

Appreciated the history of the areas we visited. Would have liked a little input into food options. Only visited 3 places and the guide seemed liked he was to be somewhere else. Looking at his watch all the time. Less than we hoped for.

We had a great time with Chingmeng - he was super engaging and knew so much about Singapore. He shared lots of history and culture during our tour, and introduced us to a few distinct parts of the city. Really tasty food and a good mix so we got to try a bit of everything. Highly recommend, especially as a first timer in Singapore as a way to help you navigate the many food choices you’ll have! Really great experience

Chingmeng was lovely and we enjoyed our time. But we wouldn’t call it a food tour. The 10 tastings are 3 meals at 3 stops and we would have liked to have known more about the food we were tasting. There wasn’t enough insight into the restaurants and stalls we were visiting, nor the meals themselves. We don’t usually bother to write reviews but we were surprised seeing all the 5 star ones on here in hindsight. We do a lot of tours and this was by far the most expensive and private. So we were expecting a more personal experience. Maybe we caught him on an off-day but it felt like he was just going through the motions. Chingmeng was good and answered most of our questions. The food itself was tasty. But given the cost and the fact it didn’t meet the description, we wouldn’t recommend. Food great, tour didn’t meet expectations.

We had an absolutely lovely afternoon- the food was delicious at each stop, we enjoyed learning how to use the subway and will continue using it for the rest of our stay, and we had a nice history tour at each location. We traveled as 2 American parents with their college and high school aged children. We all enjoyed the entire experience and highly recommend it!Outstanding
