I have been living in France and Spain so it will be lovely to meet people who speak those languages. My mother is from Germany, my father from Amsterdam. My mom and I had a fun experience with Christa and we were so grateful she was willing to do an unconventional tour in the evening. She’s full of knowledge about history of the city and things to see/do. It was great to do this tour the first night we got in so we could add to our itinerary. Highly recommend. We arrived in Amsterdam late on a Thursday afternoon and traveled with Christa for three hours the following morning. She was a wealth of information. Walking with her through the streets of Amsterdam gave us a helpful introduction and suggestions of where to return. She offered information about the history of the city from the perspective of a local that we may not have learned on our own. The highlight was eating lunch at the American Cafe while listening to Christa play the piano. Her skills and energy were impressive. Christa is great! We enjoyed our day visiting the wind mills and the village of Edam. She has wealth of knowledge that she shares during conversations while visiting the different locations. We saw and learned much. Highly recommend!Enjoyable Day

We got into Amsterdam in the morning and booked this walking tour last min for that afternoon. We are so glad we did! Christa was so knowledge about the city’s history and culture. She showed us all of the key spots and many off the beaten path, including great recommendations for museums and other sites. It was a great way to start out in a new city. We had a wonderful time discussing all things Amsterdam and beyond and ended with a tasty beverage. Christa was so personable and friendly — we will definitely be booking more tours with her upon our return. Thanks Christa!!! Awesome city tour!

Christa was very responsive prior to the tour. Because we were arriving in Amsterdam late we could not do her standard tour. She organized a custom tour for us which could accommodate our schedule and it was amazing. She is delightful to spend time with and very knowledgeable about the city and the local food and establishments. We had a great tour and ate and drank some great things. She was amazing!Christa is just rhe best!

Krista was a delight. She showed us some true gems of Amsterdam, covered a lot of ground to give us a great overview of history of Amsterdam and the sights and sounds of the central city. A lot of great advice on what to see and what other options we had touring the city and countryside.Delightful

On a Thursday morning about 8.45 am my husband incorrectly booked a three hour tour with a cheese tasting with Christa for 10am that morning. This booking was meant to be for Saturday at 10am. Just prior to 10 am, after a communication from Christa, the error was realised and it was requested that the tour be rescheduled for any time at her convenience over the weekend. In addition, we said that we recognised that her time had been wasted and were willing to reduce our tour to 1.5 hours or even less. She was unwilling to do this. The exchange was unpleasant. She was angry and felt the request was unreasonable as she would be potentially losing a 1.5 hour opportunity for another tour. My husband booked the tour with another guide and after that Christa contacted us to say that she was available for the Saturday tour. Because of the unpleasant exchange we decided not to go ahead with Christa on the Saturday. With Locals gave us a partial voucher towards the payment we made with Christa and we are grateful for that. We don’t know how good she may have been but we do know that she was uncompromising and rigid. Cancelled Tour

My four friends and I had a very lovely tour with Christa - The Hidden Gems of Amsterdam. She brought us around to streets & neighborhoods we would not have seen on our own.
