I was a director at a hospital in Boston for many years when I decided to follow my dreams and move to Italy to study design. Little did I know when I arrived that not only would I be following my passion for design but that I would also quickly be seduced into the Florence food scene. We were a family group of five adults, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our time
with Christy. As we are not drinkers and I communicated this with her ahead of time, she substituted wine tasting with addition food tastings. We loved everything we tasted, from pastries with coffee to sandwiches. She had a great relationship with all the vendors, especially at the market. My son who is a “foodie” describes
the tour as epic, and said it was the best he’s ever taken! Outstanding food tour

Christy loves her city. She clearly takes the time to find the hidden gems in the city and learns what makes them interesting. Christy guided our small group of women around busy Florence with patience, especially when a straggler would spot a quick shopping experience. She is personable, knowledgeable and easy going. Christy was charming and very informative when taking us around the area for our taste testing.
The portions given were the right size as by the time you got to the wine tasting, you are full.

We really enjoyed our 10-Tastings tour with Christy. It was nice that she was from the States in terms of communication, which made for a smooth transition with this being our first activity in Florence. She explained some good history about the main market, took us to some wonderful hidden gems and even wove in some very interesting historical tidbits as we walked through the city, which we loved. My only critique is that I expected more sustenance from the food itself (I don't know if 3 types of biscotti counts as 3 different food items and this tour leaned much more on the sweet side than salty). That being said we went back to 3 of the spots more than once! If one has preferences on what flavors of foods is preferred, I’d bring that up in advance so accommodations can be made. Good start to a visit to Florence

We learned a lot about typical Florence food we wouldn't have recognized by ourselves. Walking and talking with Christy as our guide has been a relaxing vacation experience, our first "with locals tour". What a great way to begin a tour of Florence! Christy is knowledgeable, friendly and shows areas of Florence that are lesser known and away from the high tourist areas… but also took us past the “must-see’s” in the area.

We loved our food tour in Florence with Christy. She is so knowledgeable and has such passion and love for the city. My wife and I had both been to Florence several times previously, so we weren't looking for just another walking tour of the sites. Christy's tour brought us to a new neighborhood of Florence that we had never explored before. Even better than that were the delicious bites we ate along the way. We were absolutely stuffed by the end. Our 1 year old accompanied us on the tour and Christy was especially accommodating and patient with this.
