I'm 67 and I've played championship level chess, translated scores of books (history, art, humanities, essays, some literature), sung. I ride a bike through Athens since decades; I like learning new languages, modern and ancient.

I'm a licensed lecturer guide for all of Greece, a graduate of the Law Faculty (Department of Public Law and Political Science), Athens University (NKUA) and of the Faculty of Philology (Department of Linguistics), NKUA. My language skills have never disappointed anyone.

We learned so much about the Acropolis from Costas. Incredibly knowledgeable and excellent at tying what we saw at the Acropolis to what we saw in the museum. A fascinating story teller. AND he outpaced us all lol. We were so tired at the end of the tour (brains and bodies) & he looked like he could go out and do 3 more tours!Tour guide w/ 3 advanced degrees!

Costas was great, was extremely knowledgeable, and great English - highly recommend. The price-rating is very difficult because us tourists are getting leeched everywhere in Greece & I don’t know what commission the platform take but Costas certainly tried to give value for money, still it was quite expensive- but quality always is!Happy customers

Our family of 7 toured the Acropolis and its slopes with Costas on our recent trip to Greece. The whole experience was excellent. When we first booked, we weren't clear on how to get Acropolis or museum tickets, or for what time, based on the time of our WithLocals tour. Communication with Costas was quick and simple, though; he corresponded with us immediately and sent us in the right direction. It all lined up perfectly. We met Costas right in front of the entrance to the slopes and the tour proceeding seamlessly. It was a hot day, but Costas made sure we stayed in the shade on the way to the top, stopping under trees to show us the ruins and teach us the history. Part of our party was also just coming in from a delayed flight, and they were able to meet right up with us (on the slopes), as Costas helped us with a meeting spot. As a native, Costas knows his Greek stories well. He was very informative and presented it all in a manner that was historic, interesting, and entertaining. He kept us all engaged (ages 20-57) for the entire tour, bantered with us personally, and made sure to take some sweet family pics of us with prime backdrops. We spent about 2 hours on the slopes and summit, which were spectacular (I highly recommend a hat for the sunny summit!), and about 1 hour in the museum. In the museum, Costas navigated us through the most interesting parts, so that we felt like 1 hour was plenty of time for a good taste of the exhibits. This tour is a must-do for any first-timers in Athens, and Costas is a great tour guide. I highly recommend a tour with him.Fantastic tour of the Acropolis!

Costas was a really lovely tour guide. He has lots of knowledge to share about Greek mythology and Athens. My children (11,12) enjoyed his vast mythological knowledge, as they themselves are addicted to National Geographic’s Greeking out podcast. Would recommend him to families for sure! Greek mythology wiz!
