I live in Naples. I was born here and after a long experience in tourism and traveling I became a licensed tour guide. It isn't enough just to have a license, it is necessary to have a deep passion for this job.

Among several experiences I made along my career I want to tell you about an emblematic one. One day I was working and a stranger stopped and asked me: "Are you a tour guide"? I answered: "Yes I am". Then he said: "Remember that all the travellers will see our land through your eyes". Since that moment my mission became to give all of my clients the possibility to see, read, feel and understand the beauty of my land.

Many foreign people think that Naples and its surroundings are only Pizza and mandolins, but they are so much more than this. The gulf of Naples was civilized around 3000 thousand years ago, it is a marvellous and complex mix of history, art, architecture, culture, nature, traditions and humanity. That's why if you want to have an idea of my country, I suggest you take one of my tours.

Following the Neapolitan tradition, I will welcome you and make you feel at home. My purpose is taking you to discover my country, so that it can give you a memorable life experience.

About me:

I graduated in economics and high school in tourism reception. Along my education I always cultivated my great interest for art, history and archaeology and as Naples is very rich on this point of view, I am still studying them. I have acquired many job experiences in hotels, tour operator, travel agency and cruises. My passion is to travel. Thanks to my job on the cruise as the Tour Manager assistant I visited most of the Mediterranean countries. In Europe I visited many important capitals such as Madrid, Lisbon, London, Amsterdam, Paris and Prague. I lived in Great Britain for a year and in South America for several years. I travelled to Venezuela, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba and Trinidad and Tobago.

I speak fluent English and Spanish, both languages with level C2 international certification.

We had an incredible time with Dario visiting Pompei and Herculaneum. We had an engaging history lesson while hearing some relatable stories tying past to present. We could not think of a better guide for this experience. Dario is the best!

Dario was a great guide who helped us navigate the site and the crowds with his imaginative narrative approach, bringing daily life of the ancient city to life for us. His extensive arsenal of facts is impressive, and he made the best use of our two hours together by streamlining our stops to ensure we hit all the highlights. At times, it felt a bit rushed if I wanted to linger or take pictures in any one spot, but that was more a function of the shorter two hour time frame we requested. We appreciated how Dario worked to ensure we got to all the key attractions, and he even made suggestions for what else we could see once our time with him was over. Dario was our tour guide to Pompeii and Herculaneum on September 20th and we could not have had a better tour guide. From the preplanning of helping us find a driver to drive us from our hotel in Naples to the ruins to getting us to use our imagination to help us understand what these communities were like before the eruption set us up for a day of relaxed and fun filled learning. There were 4 adults on our tour--my husband, myself and our 2 adult sons. Dario had us all engaged. He asked questions to get us thinking. He had us role play various scenarios to make what he was teaching us stick and would be remembered. I could not imagine going through the ruins without Dario by our side. A bonus Dario takes great photographs and the ones that make me smile the most are the selfies he took with us after taking ones of my family with the ruins and Mount Vesuvius behind us. Thank you for making our last day in Italy so enjoyable and memorable.Fun, knowledgeable and engaging

Dario is very knowledgeable about history in Naples. His communication was clear and easy to understand. He checked in with us frequently to ensure we understood and to see if we had questions. This is not a reflection on Dario, but we found the cost for the tour to be quite high, particularly as the price did not include admission to any of the buildings that were discussed.More than that…

We had a wonderful day in Pompei and Herculium with Dario. Dario is very knowledgeable about the history of the cities. Our plan was very ambitious we only had 1 day. Dario met us at the Naples train station with an excellent driver and car. We were able to spend 2 hours in each place, maybe a bit too fast but we were on a tight schedule. We managed to have a nice lunch and at the end Dario dropped us off at the Archeological Museum in Naples and we spent 2 hours there. It all can be done with Dario’s help. Thanks DarioPompei and Herculium in a day

Dario extremely knowledgeable, humorous, engaging and friendly. A great day in Pompei and Herculaneum, Dario carefully selecting the highlights of both sites as it could have been overwhelming. Will contact him again if we are able to return in the future.

Our tour with Dario was fascinating. His passion for the history of Pompeii is obvious. He was able to answer a wide variety of historical questions we had that weren't specific to the tour--his knowledge is thorough and deep. For us, most importantly, he knew how to involve our kids (10 and 6) in the tour in a way that kept them engaged and curious. My son, 10 years old, said of all the things we did on our 2 week trip to Italy, the tour with Dario was the highlight. Dario Made Our Son's Trip
