This Hidden Gen tour was great. Diana met us at our hotel, led us around a couple of bazaars (including the labyrinth of the Grand Bazaar) and took us to places we likely wouldn’t have found ourselves. She even helped us navigate the tram!
We had extensive conversations before the tour so Diana knew what types of shops we were keen to see so tailored our visit accordingly. She was keen we took our time and enjoyed the experience.
Diana was also very adaptable on the day. When we mentioned we were keen to find hidden gems and explore Beyoglu at some point in our trip, she switched around what we did and took us to shops over there (even though it meant running over our allocated time). She then still gave us tips of places to visit in the Egyptian (Spice) Bazaar (which had been the plan). A lovely lady who is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about Istanbul and its areas.
I believe she does other tours too. Am sure they are also great.

Engaging Diana to be our private tour guide in Istanbul was our best decision made. It was a short visit & my first time in Istanbul. We wanted to have a quick orientation of this beautiful city & yet not the typical tourist thing. It is really easy to communicate & ‘discuss’ with Diana. Her reply is prompt almost like chatting unless if she is unavailable at certain time. She made it a point to find out our interest & preference to customise the tour & we had a really lovely time focusing on what we want to see, experience or buy without wasting unnecessary time. We especially love it that the places she took us to are out of the usual tourist route & only the authentic local places & goods. We got to speak to the locals & we learn how some goods are made. It was really an eye opener & a discovery tour almost like Ali Baba’s cave of wonders. Diana is very accommodating & caring. She was concern we may have jet lag after a long flight & kept checking if we were ok. She did not rush us at all. In fact, she always reminded us to take it slow & easy so that we can enjoy our tour & pace it well. She assured us not to worry about the time limit as she wants to make sure our tour is as expected. When Diana found out this was my first visit to Istanbul she quickly proposed adjustment to the original itinerary so that I get to see a bit more of Istanbul. That was really very nice of Diana. It shows how much she cares for her clients & her passion in showcasing this beautiful city. We are very glad we found Diana & had her as our guide. We had so much fun exploring & even laughing at some silly jokes. We highly recommend Diana if you are looking for a friend in Istanbul to give you a real & authentic local experience. Diana was very knowledgeable about the shops that had items made in Turkey by Turkish craftsmen and women. She was very patient waiting for me to select gifts for my house sitting friends in America. She also showed me how to ride the city Metro train and get a transit card. I had an enjoyable afternoon. The shop keepers were friendly and attentive. Best shopping experience

A principios de octubre estuvimos cerca de una semana mi marido y yo en Estambul. Decidimos contratar los servicios de DIANA para hacer dos visitas con ella, RECORRIDO POR EL CUERNO DE ORO y COMPRAS EN LOS BAZARES. Tenemos que decir que fue una experiencia fantástica, nos mostró lugares muy bonitos y unas iglesias ortodoxas preciosas. En las compras visitamos sitios muy interesantes y los espectaculares bazares. Su trato fue muy amable y cariñoso, nos ayudó en todo lo que le pedíamos, incluso aprendimos a viajar en el metro con ella, lo cual nos fue muy útil en nuestros desplazamientos por la cuidad. This tour with Diana isn't about she wants to show us, instead it is centred around what we had wished to do.
As a personal shopper with several decades of experience, having treaded across the multifarious shops in Istanbul's back alleys and the labyrinthine market streets, Diana presented to us true value. Nestled among the sea of fakes and counterfeited products which are in abundance, especially at the Grand Bazaar, Diana's selection of outlets showcased the depth of Turkiye's artistic beauty. From Ceramics to Bathware and from Carpets to Fabrics, Diana guided us to find products of the highest quality, based on our requirements to suit our budget.
To simply put it, we would've been lost both literally and figuratively, in the multitude of stores, unable to spot fake from original and not knowing where to go, if not for Diana's presence.
But this alone isn't what sets her apart. Irrespective of rains and inclement weather, Diana chose to meet us at the hotel instead of a designated pickup spot, explained to us in detail the essence of this tour and that she wasn't bound by any timelines since shopping didn't and couldn't work with the stresses of deadlines and irrespective of it becoming late and well past her your time, chose to walk us to our Hamam in Sultanahmet more than a mile away from our shopping zone, even holding our arms to ensure that we didn't slip and arms.
On a cold windy rainy day in Istanbul, Diana's tour was filled with warmth and it was perfect icing on the last day of our ten day trip.Diana: Curation with Care & Comfort.
