I chose Diem as my guide because of all the amazing reviews and ratings she had garnered over time. At first, I was unsure of what to expect since guides are individuals with very different styles. But I am one who is always open to different personalities as I travel. As they say, different colours make a palette! Aside from the standard offerings in the package, I asked Diem to customize the dining itinerary based on simple descriptions of my preferences. I was seeking some food experiences that were a little off the beaten track. In short, my unspoken message to Diem was "Go ahead. Astonish me!". :-) I was so glad that I had given Diem a free hand in whipping up a series of dining experiences. Diem is truly a creative person who takes personal pride in what she proposes. During my food tour with her, I was so delighted to learn of several dishes that were from unique parts of Vietnam. Diem took the trouble to explain the origin of each dish. More than that, she elaborated on the lovely culture of Vietnamese people as well as the nuances of those living in Da Nang. To tourists who are seeking excellent guides who communicate effectively and clearly, look no further -- Diem is your choice. She speaks very good English which is a major plus for me. Because of her excellent spoken English, we could discuss and banter about so many things in life as well. She engaged with me so well that I was wondering if we have even met before. This is not just another artificially sweet review to fulfil a guide's sense of satisfaction. I am expressing my appreciation for Diem after some careful thoughts and out of sincerity. Simply put, Diem is the best personal guide I have ever come across in all my solo travels across the world. She has indeed met every facet of my silent challenge to her when we first started, to "astonish me" in my food tour! Thank you, Diem, for being such an amazing, unforgettable guide who is simply the best I have ever met! The biggest problem was that we were expected to come with a plan of what to do in Danang und that we just would get tips on how to get there. That is not our understanding of a quick introduction to a city you have never been to before. We asked for history and were told that Danang has none; similarly for culture. However, at least the Museum of Cham Culture could have been mentioned. It was unclear from the description and the confirmation whether the "tour" would last 90 or 120 minutes, and we split after 90 minutes since Diem had no idea what to do next.Not very informative

My family with 2 teenagers had a great time with Diem. She was punctual, informative and friendly. We had great food stops that we never would have found as a tourist. She showed us her neighborhood and had great stories for each stop. Highly recommend.Food Tour w/Diem
