My name is Dina. I want you to experience Florence in an UNFORGETTABLE way. My goal is for you never to forget Florence and your time touring its mysteries and historical wonders.

I'm always excited about learning new things, discovering new places, and meeting new people. I enjoy art in all of its formats, from the ancient to the modern, from the museums to the streets, from conventional art to tattoos; all of it has beauty and meaning. I am passionate about food, wine, history, and, of course, art! I live by the mottos "life is too short for bad food and drink, " and "if you take art and history and mix it with a little wine, you have perfection. "

I live and work in Florence as a full-time tour guide and want to be able to show you Florence through the eyes of a local.

My goal is to give you a different kind of tour experience: informative and fun at the same time! I don't want to just offer a description, an art lesson, or a regurgitation of dates and names; I want you to have an authentic experience introducing you to our local traditions, legends, food, and wine. I will show you the connection between what you see and the stories of the IMPORTANT men and women who built and lived in Florence. This will give you the chance to see Florence as I do, with a historical passion and a reason for that passion.

I would love to walk with you into the past. As we walk through the renaissance alleys and streets of Florence's inner city, we will follow in the footsteps of some of the greatest artists and learn their fascinating tales. These stories are not just at the most popular sites, such as the Uffizi or L'Acadamia, but also in the Palazzo Vecchio, the Bargello Museum, and the Pitti Palace. Truly, everywhere you turn in Florence, there is history at your fingertips

I have never used With Locals before but was informed by another that was the way to go. We booked Dina as our tour guide and couldn't have been more impressed. The way she navigated through the lines of David and the Uffizi was impressive, which line to get in, which way to go amongst hundreds, no way we could have handled those lines on our own. And the knowledge she brought not only within those two sites but on the walking tour, through the markets and various piazzas, explaining their significance as well as the statues, again impressive. She spoke perfect English and was responsive to every question we had. Dina provided recommendatons of other sites and restaurants within the city, along with other cities on our journey through Italy. My husband and I really appreciated Dina's wealth of information about the art at the Uffizi Gallery and her time management which ensured we saw some of the well known art and avoided the more congested areas of the galleries. Well, my tour couldn’t have gone better! It was totally tailored to me, as I wanted a mix of artisanal makers, food and drink. Dina was lovely and we chatted naturally as we meandered around the streets of Firenze, she introduced me to makers creating stunning, one-off artisanal pieces. I loved watching the process (and buying some beautiful things)! There were sweet treats and surprises along the way! And I feel I know the city a little better now.
