I have always been interested in history and I was fortunate after graduating from University to have worked for the National Museum of Wales for 26 years.

I was able to explore the hidden gems we have in our beautiful country and able to learn more about our proud heritage and traditions - many of which I will show you in Cardiff (Caerdydd)

Cardiff, as you will see, is a beautiful city with so much history around every corner. Allow me to take you back in time and explain how our capital city transformed from a small village to became a major port and supply the whole world with black gold (coal)

I can offer tours to suit all the family and of course can suggest a few places to have refreshments once we have finished!

Dylan was a delight! He was knowledgeable, open to a million questions which helped me understand my Welsh origins, tailored the tour to my needs, and helped me access health care. He is a wonderful historian and charming Welshman who enlightened me so thoroughly that I could retrace our steps the next day on my own, looking further into actives he had highlighted. A great experience!Like having a knowledgeable friend!

We did a last minute trip to Cardiff and were keen to learn more on Welsh history. It was great to meet such a knowledgeable local who shared so much information with us. It was clear that Dylan's first language was Welsh, as it should be, he was super clear and this added to our experience. We loved hearing about his family and he gave us some excellent restaurant recommendations - he was at pains to ensure we got the most out of our tour (and had a few laughs). Would recommend. Dylan was truly a fantastic guide. We gave him quite a challenging brief being 2 young children and 4 adults (2 of which are in their 60’s). Dylan was engaging, combining personal insights and anecdotes with historical information and stories. The tour route was well planned and ticked all the boxes.Fantatstic Tour

Dylan gave us a wonderful three hour private tour of downtown Cardiff. In addition to learning some of Wales’ history, we also got tips on good places to eat and shop, and learned a little about the Welsh rugby team as well! His Welsh pride beams throughout the tour, as he welcomes you to this amazing place. I definitely learned a lot more and got a much better feel for the city with him showing us around than I ever would have on my own. He even introduced us to welsh cakes, hot off the griddle, made by someone he knew personally. A wonderful experience. We were lucky to have him as our guide, and I highly recommend his tour!Great intro to Cardiff!

Dylan, was very personable. He is very knowledgeable about the history of Cardiff and gave us the background of all the points of interest. Although we’d walked around the city before, it was nice to hear all the history of the places. We really enjoyed our tour.

Dylan met us when and where agreed upon. He was very personable and knowledgeable about the city of Cardiff. We walked around the city as Dylan explained the history. He also pointed out good places to shop and eat/drink. Great way to spend an hour and a half on our first trip to Cardiff. Would recommend a tour with Dylan.Very informative
