I am a journalist and photographer –the first by trade and the latter by passion– who came to Spain in 2006 for a sabbatical year and since then couldn't find a reason to leave. I love music and cinema, literature and the outdoors in the same measure, so I'm very easy to please. Living in Madrid not only allowed me to learn a new language and a new way of life, it also opened to me the amazing world of tourism. Getting to know interesting people everyday and walk them through the places I like the most in my city: what could go wrong?

Edgard was a brilliant guide to Madrid for my daughter and myself on our first visit to the city. He had tailored the 4 hour tour to match our wish list and over-ran as he was so generous with his time and fulsome in imparting his knowledge. This was not dry history though - he infused everything with energy and explanations that brought the sights and monuments to vivid life. He was patient in answering all our questions and engaging throughout. It was like being taken round by a longstanding friend rather than someone we had only just met. Edgard was excellent! He was very knowledgeable and informative. We learned a lot about the history of Madrid and Spain during our tour. In addition, he gave us great advice on other attractions and things to see while in Madrid. Edgard is very personable, has a great sense of humour and we would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone visiting Madrid. In summary, a great private tour with Edgard.Great private tour!!

Edgard was a wonderful guide. We specifically asked to tour Retiro Park and he went above and beyond. He met us at our hotel and walked us through the neighborhoods explaining the history behind each neighborhood until we reached the park. We wondered through the park and then back to Plaza Mayor with Edgard pointing out wonderful information as we went. He made great recommendations for lunch and made reservations for us.Great tour through Retiro Park and beyond

Edgard led my BF and me on a special walking tour of Madrid in April. On a personal level, he is delightful, personable and inquisitive. On a professional level, he has deep knowledge of the most significant historical and architectural gems in the city. His approach is "professorial" in style, but not pedantic. His command of the English language (and several others) is quite remarkable, and his enthusiasm for Madrid is contagious. Spending time with him was a highlight of our Spain visit and I wish we would have had more time to spend with him. Thank you for a great morning!Far exceeded expectations!

Edgard was very punctual and well prepared. I had asked for some special stops and route choices which he accommodated very well. At every stop, including places we just expressed interest in, he had an interesting bit of history or anecdote. He took us into off-the-road places of interest we would have missed on our own, and gave us great recommendations for music and food. Overall, he did a great job of showing us the present day city as a product of its past.Friendly knowledgable accommodating guide

Our guide was Edgard and he was excellent. We were rained out half way through the tour and choose to abort the tour. Edgard went out of his way to schedule some time with us on another day to ensure our entire tour was completed. Edgard shared history in a relatable manner and answered all our questions.
