My father's family arrived in Rome during the XVIII century and I feel as an integrated part of this city!

I work as a computer programmer, but I've always been interested in art history, especially in Rome. I studied Art History at the University to complete my knowledge and to have the chance to becaome a Tour Guide.

I decided to join ""Withlocals"" because I think it's a great idea to meet locals in their own country (I always try to assimilate all traditions when I go abroad) and because I'd like to share my knowledge with other people from all over the world!

Furthermore, now that I have two children, I feel the necessity to offer them the opportunity to get in touch with art and history, without being bored: that's the reason why I propose my tour principally for families, not excluding the other people, of course!

We had a great day with Francesca, a lifelong Roman native who was so knowledgeable about all things at the Vatican . She was very patient with our teens and tailored the pace and level of detail to exactly what we were looking for! Highly recommend Francesca!

Francesca is a wonderful guide sharing so much knowledge of the Vatican museums. She recommended we do the tour late in day to avoid the big crowds and the heat which worked very well on a very hot day. She’s very friendly and shares her passion and knowledge in a very engaging way. I highly recommend Francesca. Vatican tour

Francesca expertly led us on a tour of the Vatican museums and St Peter’s, just as the Conclave was beginning. We weren’t able to see the Sistine Chapel, but we nonetheless felt that we got a full experience. Francesca is a wealth of knowledge of the history of the Vatican, the popes, and the vast works on display in the museums. Fascinating Vatican tour

Fantastic tour of what would otherwise be a very difficult place to navigate. Francesca took the time to explain the background to what we were seeing, as well as linking it in to the current Conclave preparations. Communication was excellent, particularly around the changes required as a result of the passing of the current pope. She was also very flexible, ensuring that we got great value for money despite some of the Vatican imposed restrictions. Francesca was very friendly and approachable, making sure we were happy to ask questions and understood what we were seeing. She also made a great effort to accommodate the reduced mobility of my elderly mum, which was really appreciated. Highly recommended.Outstanding tour

Francesca navigated perfectly the crowds at Vatican museums during the busy funeral week, and managed to keep my kids (8 and 10 y.o.) entertained and interested!
