My father's family arrived in Rome during the XVIII century and I feel as an integrated part of this city!

I work as a computer programmer, but I've always been interested in art history, especially in Rome. I studied Art History at the University to complete my knowledge and to have the chance to becaome a Tour Guide.

I decided to join ""Withlocals"" because I think it's a great idea to meet locals in their own country (I always try to assimilate all traditions when I go abroad) and because I'd like to share my knowledge with other people from all over the world!

Furthermore, now that I have two children, I feel the necessity to offer them the opportunity to get in touch with art and history, without being bored: that's the reason why I propose my tour principally for families, not excluding the other people, of course!

My family and I spent the morning touring with Francesca which would become one of our best experiences in Rome. Francesca Romana was INCREDIBLE! Her tour of the Vatican was the highlight of our trip. We learned more in our three hour tour than I thought possible. My family and I loved spending the day with Francesca touring the Vatican Museums, seeing the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s. Francesca made everything so easy amidst the insane crowds of people - we felt safe and special in her care. She knew exactly how to engage our three 13 year olds with fun challenges and her wonderful knowledge of the art and artists, history and lore. Francesca felt like a friend from the start. We had a fantastic tour with Francesca. Our 2nd time at the vatican and getting a guided tour was definitely worth it. We learned so much more. Francesca did a wonderful job of engaging with our 10 and 5 yr old daughters to keep them interested in all of the different subjects. They had fun with the treasure hunt and they said they had so much fun. Highly recommend!Our girls love Francesca
