I am a professional caterer with an Italian/British background, and have been a food guide since 2007, doing also cooking classes for foreigners. I am enthusiastic about my hometown and everything to do with food, and I love meeting new people from all over the world. My husband is an executive chef, so food is REALLY big for us!

I would recommend Francesca, specifically, if you want to do a food tour in Rome. It was especially helpful for us as first time visitors to Rome.
Meeting spot was great, food variety worked really well for us, and it’s exactly what we needed as an introduction to local Roman and Italian food.
Francesca‘s knowledge of food and her relationships at the market and different restaurants made the tour feel like it was a lot more than just showing us spots and dishes to order, but a great time learning about history, culture, and the nuances of local food. Conversation was great, she was so easy to be with for three hours, and she even gave us some incredible recommendations after the tour for other spots we could explore.
Favorite stops were food tasting in the market, the most amazing pizza, and a spot with fresh suppli. Almost forgot the gelato! Now that I think about it, everything was pretty amazing!

We loved our time with Francesca. She was very knowledgeable and friendly and took us to very authentic locations. Every stop was great, and she was very patient with our baby. Definitely recommend, especially at the start of your trip so you get the lay of the land. Great experience!

Francesca is a true expert in gastronomy, local products and places to eat around Rome. She loves the city and knows a lot about art and history too! The tour leaves you with a well rounded experience of street food and local delicacies as well as tips what to try on your own and consider to bring home. A citizen of the world, she can connect and make conversation easily with people of different culture and discuss any topics. One tip - plan your tour for the morning and ideally a working day to avoid crowds / queues!Super recommendable!

We had a great food tour with Francesca. She is very knowledgeable and welcoming. All of the stops on the tour were excellent, with great food and great conversation with Francesca along the way and with her friends at the various stops. She was also very flexible. We don’t eat a lot of meat and on the fly she modified the tour to give us an unplanned extra vegetable focussed stop. We highly recommend Francesca! Wonderful Food Curator

Francesca was awesome! It was our very first time in Italy and our first day so we were excited. It was raining before the tour so it was a slight bummer but the rained cleared and we had a nice time. She had on her super cute poncho and just pushed through 🤣.
Francesca is really sweet and had a nice sense of humor. There were no awkward moments seeing that never met before. She is also very knowledgeable about all things food since she has culinary experience. We ate some pretty good food and she gave recs on where to go for more good food.
If I am ever in Rome again I would tour with her again! Thank you Francesca 🤗Now I know what to eat...

I have learned there is no better way to learn about a culture than by getting to know its food, so we booked this food tour since all 4 of us had previously been to Rome on separate occasions.
Francesca met us in a local market where we were able to taste a variety of cheese, sausages, balsamic vinegars (which we learned a lot about) and truffle products. She shared her knowledge about each food and took us to the places off the beaten path that most tourists wouldn't think to visit. The only place that had lots of tourists was where we tried Roman pizza (delicious) and she ordered it advance so that she could go in and grab it so we would not have to wait in a long line. From there we had the opportunities to try pastries, pizzas, pastas, suppli (which is a fried rice ball with tomatoes and mozzarella) and much more. I have never had this much food on a food tour and by the end we literally could not eat another bite. Come Hungry

A great way to see and taste Rome! Francesca was a truly amazing guide. It was very easy to find her and we started the tour in a delicious local market with a few initial local tastes. The rest of the tour was a well rounded tasting of every different type of food you could imagine. Francesca provided a lot of local commentary along the way, about both the food scene and what we were seeing as we walked around Rome.
