Hi there! Nice to meet you

Francesca

I'm an art historian and my area of expertise is Religious Art of the Baroque Period. Rome is a stratified city: every monument tells about a specific historical time, from the Ancient Period to the XX century. The story of Europe starts from here! Exploring Roman Art is the best way to understand the story of the city and our culture deeply.

Every tour for me is an opportunity to know other cultures and personal stories, creating new connections with people from around the world.

I've lived in France and Portugal and I speak Italian, English, and French. I'm a very curious girl, enthusiastic about life and I enjoy sharing my knowledge with others!

Francesca taught our group of 3 the pantheon, piazza navona, altare Della patria, Trajan column, and st Ignatious church. She was super flexible adapting to our eldest member pace and explaining everything from scratch so we can really understand concepts. she gave us practical tips and a good advice as to where to eat. We had fun and learned a lot!Knowledgable and fun!

Our tour with Francesca was excellent. Having been in Rome for a few days, Francesca customised our tour to show us highlights we would of otherwise missed. Her knowledge and interest in the art and history was very obvious. Writing this from her secret (and best) coffee shop in Rome! Want to know the best coffee in Rome?

Francesca is a very communicative guide, and makes us feel confortabe from the beginning. We had a great time in Trastevere with her, and saw things we would never have noticed on our own. She has an academic background in art, which makes a lot of difference. I would recommend Francesca to a friend. A high level tour.

This was my first time visiting Rome. Francesca tailored my tour to what I wanted to see as I only had a short time in the city. Her knowledge was second to none and this made the experience so much better. After the end of the tour she recommended a bar where I could get something to eat, and she even helped me with suggestions for where to go afterwards. I would definitely book with Francesca again. Fabulous introduction

We wanted to see the city from a local's perspective and we got right what we wanted. Francesca is very knowledgeable about art and history and took us trough a very interesting walking tour, taking the time to explain in detail the history and stories about the places we visited. I travelled with my kids 12, 15, 25 and my wife, they all were mesmerized by her explanations and detail of information. I would definitely come back again and contact Francesca for another tour in the summer. Off the beaten path

We did a private 3 hour historical Rome walking tour with Francesca. She is extremely friendly, chatty and knowledgeable about the history of Rome, the art and the buildings. We asked her a lot of questions tangential to what she was showing us and she thoughtfully answered them all. Even occasionally mentioning she wasn’t 100% positive on an answer which gave us confidence that everything else she was telling us was true to the best of her knowledge. We loved how she related the history of the areas we were seeing to ancient and more modern times and gave it all context for us non-Italians. She showed us a combination of buildings/architecture, artwork and public spaces that we wouldn’t have necessarily seen otherwise. She even showed us her favorite Roman coffee shop and explained what was different about the way they brew their coffee (in the Naples tradition) that makes it extra special and tasty. We’d highly recommend her and would love to do another tour with her the next time we’re in Rome.Made our last day great!

This tour was fantastic! Francesca is incredibly knowledgeable on art, historical people, places, dates, and how events are intertwined. She is personable and funny and adapts the tour to your interests. We will take another tour with her when we return to Rome. The rating should go to eleven!

From the moment Francesca introduced herself to us with her effervescent personality and warm charm to the time that we then said, Arrivederci-we were captivated by her stories of Rome! We especially appreciated the extra time she spent with us talking over espresso and Italian lemon cookies. Her tour was the highlight of our vacation in Rome and hope to connect with her again for our family vacation in Sicily next year! Thank you Francesca!!A Memorable Tour with Francesca!
