My husband and I took the Highlights & Hidden Gems of Verona tour with Francesco last week. Francesco was very informative and gave us a good overview of the city. We only spent one afternoon in the city - it was a great way to make sure we saw the highlights. Good Introduction to Verona
Francesco took us on an extremely enjoyable tour of Verona. He shared with us his knowledge and passion as well as bringing to life the rich history of Verona. Verona is an amazing city and Francesco revealed hidden gems to us that we could not have found on our own. We will definitely return to Verona and book another tour with Francesco and we highly recommend him as a tour guide.Verona Highlights tour with Francesco
We truly enjoyed our time with Frenk! He is passionate about what he does and it shows. He gave us so much information about his beloved city and was prepared with stories and experiences that added to the overall feel of the day! Thank you Frenk for a wonderful day and for teaching us so much about Verona! Great experience!
Our experience with Francesco was absolutely exceptional! From the moment the tour began, it was clear that he was not just knowledgeable but also passionate about sharing the history and culture of Verona. One of the highlights of the tour was going 'under the streets'. The tour was well-organized, on time, and filled with great recommendations for places to visit later on our own. We would highly recommend Francesco to anyone visiting Verona.'Under the streets of Verona"
We were extremely happy with our private walking tour of Verona with Francesco. It was amazing! He tailored the tour to our specific interests and made the city come alive for us. Verona is wonderful and we highly recommend starting out your visit with Francesco. He is interesting, informed and very fun. Thank you!!! Fantastic afternoon!
There were 6 of us on the tour with Frank. We’re all gardeners, and Frank made a point of showing us interesting plants, such as the oldest Plane tree in Italy. He gave us a ton of information about the history of the area, making it fun for us by giving us “points” for remembering important facts. He checked often that we were absorbing what he told us and would say things in different ways to make sure we got it. He had several visual aids (maps, old photos, etc) that helped bring history alive. Thoroughly enjoyable and valuable 3 hours!Fun, personal view of downtown Verona
We have recently returned from our visit to Verona and Lake Garda and wanted to say how much we enjoyed our tour of The Verona Arena and surrounding area with Francesco. He showed us many things that we would almost certainly have missed if we had just explored on our own and throughout our time with him his passion and knowledge for the city he calls home was evident. So, if you want to be informed and entertained during your stay in Verona then Francesco is a great choice! (And he does like Garibaldi biscuits!)
Hope You Enjoyed the Biscuits!

What a way to start a walking tour - thunderstorms in Verona. But any concerns about the background weather were soon swept away by Francesco's bright and enthusiastic love and admiration for his city and his ability to share it all with us. While the rain dampened down, Francesco's engaging stories about Verona didn't. He not only led us through, and demonstrated evidence of, the history of the city (including a visit to a department store to show us the ruins of portion of an ancient Roman wall within the shop, explaining to us how many Roman towns had been "built over" through the centuries), but also related the true stories behind the tales of Romeo and Juliet and the powerful families of the city and their contributions to the history of Verona.
Starting with a visit to the Roman arena, an amphitheatre still in use for concerts today, through seeing evidence of some of Napoleon's time in the city, visiting the market, discussing how the City has rules to maintain its unique architecture and appearance and ending up with the (not so old) tourist attraction of Juliet's balcony, Francesco kept us interested and informed throughout the whole tour.
A walking, enlightening tour not to be missed! Hidden Gems shone despite thunderstorms
This was my 1st time in Verona, so a private walking tour was essential. Francesco provided more than we could ask for. His knowledge and history of his city, along with his passion made our tour an 11 on a scale of 1-10. I would highly recommend Francesco. Just Amazing Time!
