To make MY Budapest YOUR Budapest is what motivates me, and I just can't get tired of it. Though I have an international background -- born in Romania, raised in California -- Hungarian is my mother tongue and I've lived more years in Budapest now than in any other city.

Coming from journalism, I started working for Withlocals.com as a tour captain, designing some of the original Budapest tours. That's when I realized how uplifting it is to be a tour host, plus it's also about communications. So here I am.

Gabor is a very experienced guide with a vast amount of knowledge about history, architecture and politics. We know the city quite well but he still has found a way to tailor the tour to our interests and entertain us with a lot of stories we hadn’t heard of before. Very knowledgeable

Gabor took my mom, sister, and I from Heroes Square all the way past St. Stephen's, the Opera, and Parliament and across the river to Buda and the Castle District. He taught us about Hungarian history - pointed out architectural details - patiently answered our questions - treated us to coffee and a snack. He tailored the tour to our requests. Seriously, I cannot recommend him enough. It was a great experience! Thank you!!Knowledgeable, thorough and entertaining!

We had a wonderful day with Gabor. A personalized tour with lots of insider knowledge. We like to see places from a local point of view and this was a comprehensive and interesting focus for both key sites and unique places. Gabor is very well educated and shares detailed knowledge of history, culture, architecture, daily life and so much more. He listens to his guests and tailors his talks to your interests. He is perfectly fluent in English and Hungarian and very friendly and kind. We highly recommend his services. Flexibility and comfort are a high priority for him. We had had a motor coach tour the day before from on our river cruise with quick overview of Budapest. Having Gabor next was terrific and he was very knowledgeable . He showed our group some areas of Pest that we would never be able to find on our own or had seen previously. Gabor was a great tour guide tailoring the tour for our group's interests.Gail

We spent a fascinating afternoon with Gabor exploring Budapest. He someone well worth spending time with. He has wide interests in history, architecture, traditional and modern culture, politics, and of course, food. There is so much to see and understand in this amazing city and Gabor was the perfect host to introduce us to it.

Gabor was friendly and helpful right from the beginning asking alot of questions on what we would be interested in. We learnt so much on this tour . Gabors knowledge and expert way of telling the story of history was inspiring. There were so many things we would not have picked up on if it wasn’t pointed out to us. He even suggested things we could do after the tour and told us how to get home with our newly purchased transport ticket in which he helped us get. We would totally recommend a tour with Gabor, I am sure you wouldn’t find better.
