I love exploring and learning new things.

Traveling is the most satisfactory and comprehensive way.

Exposuring to new places and new people can be really reviving personally and also eye opening to see how other people live. To see how life functions, whether human or natural life, in other places is really humbling.

I’ve been South Africa, Australia, Korea, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Shanghai, Beijing and many provinces of Southeast China.

I was born and grew up in Hong Kong, I immigrated to Taiwan in 2017 and starting my tour business. I am a licensed tour guide and travel planner in Taiwan.

I am also a foodie! 😄 I’ve tried all kinds of food in Taiwan and even more than local people. I walked throughout from the side alleys, wet market and food court to Michelin restaurants and the most luxurious cuisine. I will not only recommend local food for you to taste, but also telling you the ingredients and the way to make it as I love cooking as well.

Garen is an absolutely outstanding guide with a remarkable passion for the culture and food of Taiwan. The 3-hour street food tasting tour was so much more than just a meal; it was a deeply interesting and insightful experience. Her explanations and background information on each dish and the markets themselves made everything so much more engaging. She didn't just point out food; she taught us how to order and the proper ways to eat it, giving us a true local experience. When we had a chance to sit down, we were able to dive into a deeper discussion about Taiwan from many perspectives, which we really enjoyed. Garen was also incredibly thoughtful and prepared. The weather was very hot for us, and she not only came with extra napkins and toothpicks, but she even took the time to help us buy sun umbrellas, which have been a lifesaver. Her English is excellent, her passion is infectious, and her knowledge and ability to share it are simply outstanding. Our tour with Garen was the highlight of our time in Taipei. She is knowledgeable, friendly, and compassionate. After seeking our input, she developed in itinerary that perfectly met our needs. Her vast knowledge of Taiwanese history and culture provided valuable context for all the sites we visited. We had a great time in our private tour in Taipei with Garen, tailor-made for our preferences. We saw some of the major sights, learned about history and architecture, and got to try some local foods and sweets. Garen was super friendly and very very informative. We learned a lot! Day 2 into our trip and we had booked in a food tour with Garen who is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Instantly it felt like a friend showing us around which is not surprising given our co tact with her before arriving in Taiwan . She helped with local tips and tricks, took us through the markets and giving us a taste of the very best food while taking us to some local cafes/restaurants. We tried a lot of amazing food and even tried a few new things. Highly recommend booking with Garen! Excellent food and a more amazing guide

We had a great time with Garen! She is very engaging and shared interesting facts about Taiwan, its food, culture and history. We had a lot of yummy food but we she paced it very well and we certainly would not know to go to some of the places. Certainly a well spent 3 hours! Highly recommended!!Taste and Enjoy!

So my family and I were in town for a few days and booked both the 10 tastings of Taipei along with the five hour highlights of Taipei. Both were excellent. Garen is highly knowledgeable about the history of Taiwan. She showed us all around the city and the various foods that make Taipei. Highly recommend.Two wonderful tours worh Garen
