I love exploring and learning new things.

Traveling is the most satisfactory and comprehensive way.

Exposuring to new places and new people can be really reviving personally and also eye opening to see how other people live. To see how life functions, whether human or natural life, in other places is really humbling.

I’ve been South Africa, Australia, Korea, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Shanghai, Beijing and many provinces of Southeast China.

I was born and grew up in Hong Kong, I immigrated to Taiwan in 2017 and starting my tour business. I am a licensed tour guide and travel planner in Taiwan.

I am also a foodie! 😄 I’ve tried all kinds of food in Taiwan and even more than local people. I walked throughout from the side alleys, wet market and food court to Michelin restaurants and the most luxurious cuisine. I will not only recommend local food for you to taste, but also telling you the ingredients and the way to make it as I love cooking as well.

In addition, I am happy to share all kinds of stories related to Taiwan's history, religion, and culture with you during my tour, as I also take a Historical Tour, City Highlights and Hidden Gem Tour and Magical Evening Tour.

Garen is an inspiring whirlwind of energy and fascinating insights that makes the food tour in Taipei an absolute pleasure. The food is of course tremendously delicious, however Garen makes it about so much more by weaving in truly rich context about the origins of many of the items and how it all relates to Taiwan’s history. As a result, we learned much more in these few hours than we did on many of the equivalent tours we have been lucky to enjoy in other Asian countries. Garen was also particularly considerate in ensuring the tour, conversation and pace was adapted to my son’s interests. All in all, highly recommend Garen as a food tour guide in Taipei.Great tour and guide!

I have been to Taiwan multiple times but for business purposes and this time I decided to go on vacation with my son and experience what true Taiwan is about and decided to go with Garen. The best decision ever, you not only get to try great food but learn so many cultural and historical lessons about Taiwan that make the experience richer. This was my son’s first time in Asia and he was impressed by Garen’s hospitality and knowledge. So, he already misses Taiwan and definitely this experience made it even better. We booked a food tour with Garen and had a great time! Not only did we enjoyed the food but Garen showed us on how to properly order food from the menu. My husband and I travel extensively and have experienced all levels of tour guides and we both agreed that Garen is one of the best. She was engaging, knowledgeable, and prepared in every possible way…from answering our political questions about Taiwan’s history to giving us alcohol wipes before we ate. We asked her for recommendations on where to buy the most random things and she was literally texting me places days after we finished our tour. We plan to return to Taiwan in the near future and we will definitely book a tour with Garen again.Garen is the best tour guide ever!

This tour kick started our week long stay in Taiwan. Garen couldn’t have been a friendlier, FUN, and informative guide. She knows the history of Taiwan and makes it so Interesting and engaging! She hit the highlights as well as many hidden gems. She took us to the best places for Taiwanese delicacies and shopping. Garen is the type of person you want to have as a lifelong friend.
