I grew up surrounded by art and culture—my father is an artist, and from an early age, I learned to see the world through a creative and historical lens. Art has always been part of my life, and so has a deep curiosity for the stories behind it.

As someone truly passionate about history, I enjoy sharing the fascinating narratives that connect artworks to the times and people who created them. For years now, I’ve been guiding visitors exclusively through the Prado Museum, a place I know intimately and never stop learning from. I moved to Madrid twenty years ago to pursue a PhD and ended up staying for love.

We had an excellent tour with Govi (Prado and Surrounding Area). We are a family of 6 (including my two teens and my parents) and all loved the experience equally. Govi was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic. She was great at navigating through the museum and had so many interesting things to say about the paintings and artists. It was so worth it to have her with us on our trip to the Prado and I would highly recommend Govi for this tour. Thanks so much Govi!! Great tour with Govi!

Govi was so lovely - flexible with time as we were early and so knowledgeable about the paintings and Spanish history. The 2 hours flew by and we really appreciated being in the museum with someone who understood the art history so well. Thank you, Govi 💜Very informative and engaging tour!

This is the second time we take a tour at the Prado with Govi - this time we brought our teens. Govi gave us again a tremendous introduction to selected pieces of art at the Prado combined with an elegant historical overview. Time passed so fast with all the intriguing details. Govi is very knowledgeable on her field and presents everything in an extremely comfortable and easy to understand way. Govi is highly recommendable and we will book her again next time in Madrid.Best guide for the Prado

We arrived at the meeting point a bit early at and right at the appointed time Govi showed up. Our group was made up of 2 who had never been to the Prado, 1 who visited once prior and this was my 4th visit. She asked if there were things we wanted to see and then explained how she was going to take us through the chronology of the art in the Prado. She started with areas I had never seen and shared the artistic style and historical relevance. She brought out information and insight to paintings that I had casually passed by in my previous visits and showed they really were...works of art. She was a magnificent guide.WOW! Govi made the Prado come alive!

Our family loves museums, and when we visit a large museum like the Prado, we feel it’s worth the splurge to have a guide. Govi is among the best we have ever had. She put everything into a historical context that deepened our understanding. She made sure we saw the highlights and understood what was so special about the most important paintings. She was so friendly and easy to be with. It was a memorable day and we enjoyed every minute!Fantastic experience

Govi was a phenomenal guide. She was very organized and knowledgeable. She did a "highlights" tour walking us through different moments in art history and it was well-paced. Her attention to just-enough detail kept us interested and informed. Really enjoyed this tour.Would not see the Prado any other way!
