We booked a walking tour with Gustavo our first afternoon in Porto. The weather could have been better but we throughly enjoyed the tour anyway because Gustavo was so informative and engaging. We had such a great time that we asked him to spent the entire next day with us in the Douro Valley. An amazing experience with an amazing guide! He went above and beyond and we will definitely recommend to all of our friends planning travel to this area.Exceptional experience in Porto!

Gustavo covered all the things we wanted to do. He is so much more than a tour guide — interesting and knowledgeable on so many topics; worked to create special moments for us; and brought a historical and cultural perspective to our day. The highlight of the day was getting off the highway onto the back roads to see different viewpoints and smaller villages.Perfectr day in Duoro Valley

Our group of 4 enjoyed a lovely Day with Gustavo exploring the Duoro Valley. He was right on time picking us up in his new Mercedes wagon. He is an area native and knowledgeable on all points of Portugals history and wine making. Everywhere we went he had friends and colleagues that took good care of us. I believe he designed this day in the Duoro for all of the guides that offer the tour. Gustavo was fun and interesting and congenial spend a day touring this beautiful winemaking region. . The best thing about Gustavo is how he seemed like a friend rather than a guide who was showing us around. He also tailored the programme to suit our interests, including ditching a lunch venue at the last minute when he found out my preference for modern cuisine. He’s a fount of knowledge and has an answer to any questions you throw at the man, ranging from history to culture to food. All in all it was a day well spent on sightseeing and learning about the backstory to wine production in Porto.eventful day out in the Duoro Valley

We had a great afternoon with Gustavo, where he introduced us to the sites and history of Porto. What a great way to start our time here as this tour allowed us to get our bearings and determine where we wanted to spend more time. In addition to being a great tour guide, Gustavo was helpful in providing restaurant and wine recommendations. We had the most amazing experience exploring the stunning Douro Valley in Porto, thanks to our incredible guide. Gustavo. From start to finish, everything was perfectly curated and intimate, just the way we wanted it. Our day started with a scenic drive through the valley, and our guide's knowledge and passion for the region truly enhanced the experience. Lunch at a local restaurant was nothing short of delicious—authentic flavors and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The highlight of the trip was visiting two beautiful wineries, both offering breathtaking views of the valley. The settings were serene, with no crowds, making it feel like we had the entire experience to ourselves. If you're considering visiting the Douro Valley, this is the only way to do it. Gustavo is extremely knowledgeable in all aspects and gives honest recommendations. Wir waren mit Gustavo einen ganzen Tag im Douro-Tal unterwegs. Er holte uns pünktlich im Hotel im Porto ab und zeigte uns die Kleinstädte Regua und Lamego. Seine ausgezeichneten Fachkenntnissen zur Weinproduktion und zur Geschichte des Tals liessen keine Fragen offen. Gustavo ist äusserst dienstleistungsorientiert und passt sich jederzeit den Wünschen seiner Gäste an. My wife and I had a fantastic day with Gustavo touring the Duoro Valley from Porto. He picked us up on time from our hotel in a late model Mercedes which was immaculately clean and extremely comfortable. His knowledge of the area and of Portuguese history and culture made our conversation as easy as talking to a friend, which now Gustavo is. We mentioned our interest in tasting dry wines and we visited two wineries with tasty offerings of both dry and sweet. He also stopped off at several view points to showcase the valley. We took great interest in watching a river cruise ship pass through a very large lock, a rise of perhaps 10 meters or more. We stopped at a lovely family owned restaurant for lunch and it was so good! We had the goatling with rice for two people and it fed us all. Gustavo’s wine recommendation was perfect! It was a full day of pleasant conversation and we learned a lot about the Douro and Portugal. Thanks, Gustavo! I will recommend him to everyone I know coming to Porto.Go With Gustavo!
