We had a great time with Haq - the Peace Park, the Hiroshima castle and Miya-jima. We had a great meal of okonimiyaki and also learnt a lot from Haq along the way. The tour is much longer than 5 hours due to the fact that Miyajima is a train-ride away and there's a lot to see there, so keep that in mind when you decide what you'd like to prioritize seeing. Haq is very open to being flexible, which is great and the tour worked very well for our group, which was three people, but three generations - and everyone had a great time ! We enjoyed our day in Hiroshima and Miyajima Island with Haq. Haq picked us up from our cruise terminal and the day touring the highlights of Miyajima Island (famous vermilion Torii Gate) and Hiroshima (Atomic Bomb sights) went very smoothly. Haq was an amazing tour guide. Our group of 8 friends from the U.S. learned so much on this tour about Hiroshima, the city, culture, and so much more. The 5-hour tour to Hiroshima and Miyajima was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. Haq was an incredible tour guide. He gave us an insightful history lesson about the events leading up to the bomb dropping and how Hiroshima rebuilt itself. He made the entire tour very interesting for our three kids (15, 13, 12), which isn't always easy to do! He was flexible with the trip and was able to adjust the times due to our train schedule, which we appreciated. He took us off the beaten path to try local foods and point out interesting places on the tour, which we all enjoyed. We have used WithLocals and other countries, and we have always had a wonderful experience with our guides. 10/10!! Loved every minute of this tour!

We really enjoyed our food tour in Hiroshima with Haq. He was very knowledgeable about Hiroshima and its history and was a fun and entertaining guide. The food choices were great and he took us to excellent smaller places off the beaten path that would have been difficult to find on our own. We liked that he was really well-informed on how each selection was important to the food scene in Hiroshima. Haq also shared personal stories about his experiences living in the city which gave us an insider’s perspective that we really appreciated. Our tour group of seven had a total of nine tours during our cruise. All tours were private guided and hand picked by the group leader. Haq was unanimously voted the best guide . Here is why. He was very organized, prompt, knowledgeable and accommodated the mobility needs of some of our group. Our tour of Hiroshima was excellent from beginning to end. Not only did he take us to the requisite places one would expect to see on a one day tour of the city, but he also. Went above and beyond to provide information, historical context, and importantly, some personal information based on his time spent in Hiroshima and his experiences. Beyond guiding us gently through the peace park and museums he shared, anecdotal stories from his family and personal experiences that Provided a fresh insight into not only the situation in Hiroshima During andafter the war, but life stories from someone who is not native to Japan. Our group found these interactions, most interesting. Thank you, Haq for a memorable day. If you have the opportunity to tour Hiroshima with him, you will not be disappointed..
