I was born and raised in Bruges. With my father, I often went for a walk into the town, visited museums, climbed the Belfry. I fell in love with my city forever.

With great enthusiasm I tell tourists the history and legends of Bruges and I show them the numerous monuments and the well-known and lesser-known neighborhoods and squares. I also pay attention to the food culture and our way of life. My goal is that the tourists can say afterwards that they learned a lot, enjoyed themselves and that they have taken Bruges into their hearts.

Absolutely brilliant. The best day of our trip away. Hilde the Tory guide is amazing. So clear and talented person. The food was amazing. Beer, waffles,chocolate,chips, all free and all explained as to how they are made. Make sure you give Hilde a good tip. She is worth Every Euro. 👍👍👍 thank you HildeFantastic Tour. We did the Free Tasting Tour: Taste of Bruges and our tour guide was Hilda. This tour was amazing! We had such a good time. Hilda was very knowledgeable and made the entire experience so great. All the tastings were delicious too! 100% recommended! 5 stars to Hilda, she was an awesome tour guide!100 % Recommended

From our cruise ship, we shuttled to Bruge (cheaper through Viator than boat). It was about a one mile walk to Market Square to meet Hilde with the red umbrella. Beautiful walk through unique architectures and over picturesque canals. Once in the square, a quick historical lesson on the importance of Bruge in 1600s and its location. Then we learned the history of fries in Belgium and ate many fries (never to be named French fries again). A short walk to a candy store shared more history on invention of red nose candies known in Belgium. Then, we tasted two types of waffles and learned of the different reasons for both types (Brussels and Liege). And oh… the decadent chocolate shop “Home Sweet Home.” No words… We finished at the Flandres Brewery with a taste of a blended brew, Bourgogne des Flandres. Not the extravagant servings of other food tours but it’s amazing - highly recommended. Bring a napkin if you are super proper - it’s all hands in! Had a great couple of hours with Hilda who was interesting and good company. She managed to shield the group from the worst of the weather as she led us round the centre of Bruges. We stopped at a handful of places and had free nibbles and a well earned beer at the end. Would definitely recommend. Would definitely recommend

A really informative tour and got to taste so much that Bruges has to offer. Hilda was so friendly and patient with such a large group and made us feel welcome from the start. Would definitely do another tour again. Really enjoyable with lots of variety.
