I wholeheartedly echo his sentiment. Born in Poland and raised in the UK, my extensive travels have instilled in me a sense of being a citizen of the world. While I have enjoyed being a tour guide in various countries, including the UK, Israel, Egypt, and Jordan, tour guiding is not merely a job for me—it is a genuine passion. Enthralled by history, I derive immense joy from guiding people through the enchanting city of Bruges and the province of Flanders, sharing my knowledge and enthusiasm.

As a freelance journalist, historical researcher, and explorer, I am continuously engrossed in planning new adventures, expeditions, and projects. Whether it involves tracing the paths of pilgrims and crusaders in the Holy Land, embarking on maritime and diving investigations in search of Spanish galleons, or unearthing lost battlefields and treasures, I have chosen Bruges as my "final destination." This decision stems not only from its resemblance to Gdańsk/Danzig, the city of my youth—a medieval Hanseatic town—along with its incredibly rich history but also its exquisite beers and an array of delectable chocolates. I have fallen in love with this remarkable place, and I am confident that you will do the same as we embark on our journey together, continually uncovering new facets of Bruges and Flanders.

My research focuses on history and archaeology, specialising in mysteries and lesser-known facts. I eagerly await the opportunity to meet you, and I highly recommend bringing a camera, as there will be ample photo opportunities along the way.

Igor was both informative and charming. He took us to incredibly interesting hidden spots and answered all of question with great detail. He is a master of the area’s history. When our tour was over he directed us to a lovely spot for a delicious an relaxing luncha perfect tour

Igor brings an excitement to the history of Brugge. We often hire guides, but not many can get you as enthusiastic about the history of an area as Igor. At the end of the tour, he said goodbye, but as he turned to leave, I stopped him to give him a handsome tip. He said no, but I insisted because the time with him was worth so much more than he charged. Typically we do not tip our guides as they set their own rates.A Guide Who Loves History

If you love history, this is the tour for you! Igor is extremely knowledgeable about the breadth of history of the region. Additionally, he's extremely affable and kind! Gave me some great recommendations for further study as well!! Step back in time!

We were a group of five people interested in history and culture, from different backgrounds, some knowing Bruges well, others not at all. Igor delighted everyone with his stories and his excellent knowledge of European history, showing the bigger picture behind the sights in Bruges (but also including nice little stories and anecdotes). Our 3 hour tour passed in a flash, we were tired from walking afterwards, but could have listened to Igor for hours more.One of the best city tours of our live

We had a wonderful walking tour of Brugge. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the city. He answered questioned and will gear the tour toward your interests. What a perfect start to explore Brugge on our first day! Two and a half hours packed with both profound historical information and humorous stories, past and present, highlights and secret places you would never have noticed. And enough things left over to do afterwards - recommended by a true local: to climb Belfried, to see the foundations of Sint Donaas, go for a boat ride, drink the best beer or hot chocolate in town, stroll along the windmills near Kruisvest, see a film about two Irish killers... Having travelled the world himself, Igor had a good feeling for the local treasures, for the people (including his guests) and for timing - to have a rare glance at Brugge's most sacred blood! If you like to ask a lot of questions - Igor will patiently listen and answer. If you stay behind to take a lot of pictures - Igor will wait politely. If you are yourself a local tourguide - you'll enjoy it. Thank you, Igor! We had a wonderful time, just before general lockdown. In the end, you had been too quick for a tip... We had a great tour with Igor. He was very knowledgeable and made Brugge come alive with history and local stories. He was very accomadating with my need to take photos and was great at providing information on things we should see in our two days. We had a great time touring Bruges with Igor. His knowledge of the city's history was unprecedented and he also shared lesser known tips and stories of the city as well. The information he shared and details of the city that he pointed out go well beyond that of the typical tour guide. He was very friendly and we had a great time walking around with him. Bruges is an incredibly beautiful and historic city that we are very glad to have had the opportunity to explore. Highly recommend this tour! Amazing guide & tour- absolutely worth it!
