Welcome to Porto!

My name is Joana and Porto is my hometown. I was born and raised in this beautiful city. Lived some years abroad but came back to where my heart belongs.

I have been working in tourism since 2005 and what started as new work experience ended up becoming my passion. I have 15+ years of experience in the cruise industry and since 2020 I have returned to guiding full time.

When I am not guiding, I am enjoying some quality time with daughter or reading a good book, watching a nice series on TV.

I love to show my country to those who choose to visit us. I am passionate about history, wine and food. But I also love to share those funny stories about the sites we visit. Cities are living monuments that are in constant movement, and that is what makes us so special. I will tell you about the past, but also about the present so that you can feel like a local.

Joana was an exceptional guide. She tailored the tour to what we wanted to see and learn. She’s lived in Porto most of her life and she was knowledgeable about history as well as current events in Porto. She’s a storyteller at heart so the tour was very interesting. Wir haben länger nach einer deutschsprachigen Stadtführung gesucht, Sehr nette und sympathische Atmosphäre, wir wurden zu Orten geführt die wir selber so nicht besucht hätten, sehr gutes geschichtliches Wissen, auf jeden Fall sehr zu empfehlen Obrigada Joana 😊👍
