Worked in Marketing and in the nightlife business, but recently more conected to sustainability, inclusion and diversity issues and projects, as I believe we can all make our cities and communities a better place... ah, and studied Production in the Performing Arts! So... we already have a stage... Lisbon!

Joao was a remarkable guide! He was knowledgeable, thoughtful, generous with his time, and very attuned to what my sister and I wanted to see and do. His ability to weave history and local culture into the surrounding sights was sensational. He followed up with great recommendations for other things to see and do on our trip. He had a lovely sense of humor and a terrific grasp of Lisbon’s architecture and history. We couldn’t recommend him highly enough! M&W

João B was an awesome guide and one we would highly recommend doing a tour with. This was our first time to Lisbon and we only had three days, so we wanted to make the most of it. He was friendly, very informative and really customised the tour for us. We were interested in the culture and authentic Portuguese food & bars. He provided us with great recommendations close to where we were staying, they were all so good. Thank you João :)

Joab was filled with facts and stories that enhanced our Jewish Heritage Tour. His winning personality made the time fly. He was considerate of our minor limitations and always found the bench or elevator when needed. Only wished we had more time in Lisbon to book him for additional tours! Highly recommend him. Wonderful!

Joao was a wonderful guide. He listened to what we wanted and followed it. We did not want a standard guide taking us to the best known monuments, churches, etc.. He showed us Lisbon as a "local". He truly tailored our tour to us. He is extremely knowledgeable, fun to be with and emailed us suggestions for restaurants, etc.. I highly recommend him.Fabulous

W really enjoyed our walking tour with Joao. He did a nice job of talking about the history of the Jews in Portugal as we toured through many of the beautiful neighborhoods in Lisbon. Joao was knowledgeable and engaging wit our three teenagers and even made time for a quick gelato stop for the kids. A great way to learn about the history and get a sense of our surroundings all at once. highly recommend. Great Jewish Walking Tour

Joao is amazing. So kind and thoughtful and interesting! He knew such a wide range of history and fun facts about Lisbon, and especially the Jewish community that left us thinking and wondering more! He did a great job pointing out tips of places to go and ways to make the city more accessible (hidden elevators, escalators, etc.) and he was awesome to send us a detailed list of many more recomendations and followed up on the various things we spoke about. He was able to make the tour interesting for our 10 year old daughter and also was sensitive to the heat that day, and kept looking for spots with shade where we could talk comfortably. Definitely book your tour with Joao - you won't be disappointed!Amazing tour!

João did a wonderful job giving us an overview of Lisbon and its diverse neighborhoods. He was full of information on the city and had wonderful stories to tell about each area. We booked a last minute tour of Lisbon’s highlights and hidden gems and were lucky enough to have João as our guide. Even though he just finished a prior tour, João was enthusiastic, warm, engaging, and clearly loved sharing his love of his city with us. João was very knowledgeable and just a great story teller, bringing Portugal’s history to life. We walked through several neighborhoods learning about their place in Lisbon’s history as well as important literary figures, famous places, and getting a great idea of the layout of this beautiful and vibrant city. Our three hours passed too quickly and ended with a delicious round of ginja. We are grateful for João’s enthusiasm and insights, it was a wonderful tour and we would love to have him again for another tour. Thank you, João!Fabulous Lisbon tour with João!
