Worked in Marketing and in the nightlife business, but recently more conected to sustainability, inclusion and diversity issues and projects, as I believe we can all make our cities and communities a better place... ah, and studied Production in the Performing Arts! So... we already have a stage... Lisbon!

Joao went above and beyond with his personal tour of Lisbon. He catered our time to my interests and shared historical and cultural insights. I particularly enjoyed learning about Portugal’s literary scene and recent history. After the retreat he sent me a great list of restaurant recommendations and other places to see in and around Lisbon. Highly recommend!Fantastic experience with Joao

I don’t usually rate unless the tour was exceptional. We loved spending our morning with João. We saw places we never would have found ourselves, heard great stories about history, both remote and recent. He gave us great recommendations and even after 3 hours was over found us a great place for lunch before he left. It is valuable to get to know a city from someone who grew up there and loves it. Thanks João for being such a friendly knowledgeable guide.The friendliest intoduction to Lisbon

João is an excellent guide. He shared his historical knowledge of the city and the country with us. He gave us his personal insights and understanding of the Jewish heritage in Lisbon. He took us to the modern memorial stone. There isn't much left behind of 300 years of Jewish presence due to the destruction caused by the earthquake. It wiped out more than half the city. He was sensitive to the fact we weren't used to walking the steep hills of this beautiful city. He took us to see some amazing views. Finally he showed us a great place to eat dinner. João was assigned to us last minute as the guide we picked fell ill. He was immediately responsive to my messages and it was easy to find him at the meeting point. He gave us a fantastic overview of the city and some history as well. We had a small tasting included in our tour and he took us to an amazing place to try the Pastéis de Nata along with the best espresso in Lisbon! I would highly recommend João to anyone visiting Lisbon. Fantastic Afternoon in Lisbon

Given João’s reviews, our expectations were pretty high, and he did not disappoint. João was relaxed and a pleasure to be with. He was eager to share his deep knowledge of Lisbon’s history and to also give us a sense of her as a modern, living city. We especially enjoyed his tour of the Mouraria which we likely would not have otherwise seen. After the tour, João went above and beyond, sending me a list of places and restaurants we might want to explore on our own. All this and his spoken English was excellent!!Exceeded expectations!

We booked João for a half-day walking tour around Lisbon. Before the tour, João reached out to ask what our interests were and what we would like to see. When we met, we instantly knew we booked the right guide as João was extremely friendly, funny, and of course knowledgeable about Lisbon. We had a great time walking with him and exploring, hearing all about the history of Lisbon as well as personal stories about his life there. At the end of the tour, João sent some great recommendations for the rest of our time in Lisbon!
