Worked in Marketing and in the nightlife business, but recently more conected to sustainability, inclusion and diversity issues and projects, as I believe we can all make our cities and communities a better place... ah, and studied Production in the Performing Arts! So... we already have a stage... Lisbon!

João is extremely knowledgeable about his city, especially its history and culture. His passion for storytelling made the afternoon fly by. He gave excellent recommendations for eating and shopping. We enjoyed our time spent with João. He gave us a great overview of Lisbon with lots of valuable information and tips. He followed up shortly after the tour ended with more recommendations for restaurants and other Lisbon activities. It was time well spent and we felt like we made a friend. Our afternoon spent with Joao was fantastic from beginning to end. First off - he speaks perfect English and he was completely delightful. Secondly, He is not only knowledgeable about the city of Lisbon but his knowledge of Portugal and it's history was fascinating. We learned so much and enjoyed our time immensely. Our first experience with “withlocals” was fantastic - we will for sure use it again soon!Outstanding!

João was such a great tour guide, we learnt so much during our tour. He adapted his initial route to not repeat places we had already been to. He gave us really good recommendations for places to eat and visit. We would really recommend João! It was perfect! Incredible tour guide

We spent a great afternoon with João. His lifetime here, interest in culture and historical knowledge made us feel we understood where we were. Joao was an excellent guide for our group of two families, with 5 kids ages 7 to 13. He made it light and fun, weaved history in with more current events, and showed us se pretty sights. His tour was a highlight of our trip.Excellent tour!

What a great afternoon. João is a wonderful conversationalist and a knowledgeable native of Lisbon. He gave us the perfect walking tour through various neighborhoods in Lisbon. All the while, sharing personal anecdotes, bits of history, and trivia about the city and each neighborhood. This was a perfect primer for our stay in Lisbon.
