We recently had a Porto site seeing tour with Joao, and it is one of best private tours we had. Joao tailored the tour perfectly to our need and interests, and answered spontaneous questions. We had an excellent tour in Porto with Joao, who has a huge knowledge about local artists in Street Art. Joao mainly focussed on local artists and it was a real pleasure to discover many little art works we would not have seen without him :-)) After the walk we continued spotting further works from the artists Joao talked about :-) He gave us interesting recommendations where to find more Street Art works which was really nice. Die Tour mit Joao war ein Höhepunkt während unserer 5 Tage in Porto! Nach der 3-stündigen Tour am ersten Tag haben wir die Stadt mit anderen Augen betrachtet. Joao erkundigte sich initial nach unseren Wünschen und komponierte dann eine sehr abwechslungsreiche Tour zu Fuss durch das moderne und historische Porto. Abseits der üblichen Touristenpfade unterwegs, zeigte er uns von Street-Art über historische Juwelen hin zu politisch markanten Bauwerken die Vielfalt von Porto. Dank seinen extrem fundierten kunsthistorischen, politischen Kenntnissen und seinem perfekten Englisch konnten beliebige Themen spannend vertieft werden. Nebenbei versorgte er uns mit wertvollen Tips für authentische Gastronomie und Nachtleben. We really enjoyed our tour with João. It was our first time to Porto and João offered a good introduction to its history and people. It is clear he loves Porto and his enthusiasm for art really came through. He did a great job of catering to the interests of 4 of us in a short period of time. And we loved learning about some Porto landmarks and murals that we would never have otherwise noticed had we been on our own. Great tour

We had a great couple of hours with Joao where he showed us another (non-tourist) side of Porto. We chose Joao because of his knowledge of street art and he did not disappoint. His enthusiasm is inspiring. We really felt that we saw a part of Porto that we would otherwise have not known about. It was clear he loves the city and loved showing it to us. He was able to answer all our questions about art, history of the city and even practical ones like where we could post our postcards or how long traffic to the airport would take ( we got there on time 😊). This tour was one of the highlights of our 3 day visit to Porto and that is all thanks to Joao! Amazing Art Tour!

João showed us some little-known but fascinating areas of the city. He is extremely knowledgeable about the history and politics of Porto and Portugal, which provided the context we wanted. Plus he is very pleasant and nice and his English is excellent. We learned a lot in our 2 1/2 hour tour!Joao is the fantastic!

Joao was terrific. We were an older group and he adapted to our slower pace right away. He was able to take us around the entire town to see the highlights while making sure we had time to rest. He is totally in tune with the vibe of Porto and the places most favored by locals. He was able to give us the backstories and interesting histories not found in guidebooks. Definitely use him as your guide. Terrific guide

Joao is a friendly welcome to Porto, full of a wide variety of information that endears you to this beautiful city. His breadth of knowledge of art and history helped us appreciate the culture of the region. He tailored the tour to our interests and provided great recommendations for food and other local attractions for us to explore. We hope to see him again on our next visit.
